Aniruddh woke up from his nightmare, sweating, panting, full of terror. His frantic eyes landed on Bondita sleeping beside him peacefully. As he watched Bondita, he gradually began to relax. His had automatically carresed her hair which woke Bondita up. She saw Aniruddh's folorn worried face & sat up. Aniruddh looked away from her trying to hide the anxiety building up in him. Bondita gently touched his shoulder.
"Kya hua Pati babu??"
Aniruddh while still looking away clasped onto Bondita's hand trying to calm himself down. He cleared his throat & spoke in a heavy voice.
"Kuch nahi....kuch nahi hua....so jaao tum Bondita."
Bondita cupped his face & turned him around to look into his eyes.
"Bataiyye na Pati babu...kya baat hai?? Aapko kya hua?? Dekhiye bata dijiye...warna mai jaa rahi hu study mein sone."
Bondita tried to get up & Aniruddh didn't let her. He desperately held on to Bondita's shoulders.
"Nahi!! Kahi nahi jaaogi tum!! Kabhi nahi jaogi!!"
Bondita understanding the matter smiled.
"Aapne bura sapna dekha na??"
Haan Bonditaa.
"Kya dekha aapne??"
Aniruddh shuddered remembering his nightmare.
Bondita mai kabhi kabhi sochta hu tumhe sabse kahi dur leke jau. Jaha koi tumhe nuksaan na pohocha paaye.
Bondita smiled.
Hai na ek aisi jagah jaha koi mera kuch nahi bigaad sakta. Jaha koi aag mujhtak nahi pohoch sakti. Koi tufaan uss kavach ko nahi kaat sakti.
Aniruddh looked at her perplexed.
"Aisi kaunsi jagah hai Bonditaa??"
Bondita said nothing. She went closer to him & hugged him, burrying her face into his chest. Aniruddh sat still for a few seconds before wrapping his arms around her.
Bondita whispered softly.
"Yeh hai duniya ki sabse safe jagah. Yaha mujhe kabhi kuch nahi hoga. Yeh mera ghar hai. Aap hai mera ghar."
Aniruddh's arms tightened around her & he laid a kiss on her head not saying anything.
