The curious case of Shiva Pandya ..

This is just me trying to get a reading in on the psyche of Shiva Pandya .. based on today's Iktara sequence.

Despite the gruff exteriors Shiva Pandya is all hearts when it comes to people he cares about and right now he is pretty much TERRIFIED of his newfound fondness for Raavi. He does not understand it and he most definitely does not want it but try as he might he cannot seem to deny it, which is what has him so unnerved in the first place.

These two grew up together so they were obviously very comfortable with having each other in their personal spaces prior to being put into the ghar grishasti mould so dhakka mukki kheencha taani se in janaab ko koi takleef nahin hai. It's the little things, the smallest of gestures that puts the fear of God into Shiva Pandya. Her hand brushing against his as they walk side by side has him petrified. The way Shiva shoved his hands into his pockets spoke volumes about just how guarded he wants to be about his feelings. It was almost as if he didn't trust himself to not reach out for her hand. Her eyes seeking his out as the night settles around them has him mentally running for the hills and verbalising who they are to each other? Khud ko Raavi ka pati bolne mein toh isko maut aati hai 🤦🏻‍♀️. Because what could possibly be more disconcerting than entertaining the idea of something more than just 'zimmedari' when it comes to Raavi .. right?

Inke ghar pe toh roz koi na koi kaand hota hi rehta hai so there he can use the ensuing chaos to mask the storm within himself and make a run for it but here? Roshni aur shor ki ghair haazri mein jo sukoon aur thehraav hai wahaan woh apni tezi se barhti nabz ke shor ko kaise chupayega ? Rather than calming his pounding heart, it seemed to make matters worse and he finds himself feeling overwhelmed. So just for tonight .. he stops fighting it, albeit begrudgingly .. and lets the tranquility of nightfall wash over him as he walks her home .. all the while beseeching the Gods of twilight to not out him to Raavi.

That was such a defensive move lol. But I think a part of him was also afraid that she'd reach out to hold his hand..not that she's ready for that either lol. There was so much packed into that scene

Aur ahista is one of my favorite song... Shiva is confused, I think he really wanted to hold raavi's hand in ydy hand.. The ghost of smile he has on his face before turning back was a proof that he has started falling in love, even it's going to be a long bumpy ride till he realises it... 🥰🥰
