Sarcasm and jokes apart, even if his intentions were purely on the basis of humanity, he didn't need to go to the extend to help her get up and apply ice with own hand. There were planty of woman therre, he could just bring the ice tell one of the woman to apply it on his vahini's hand.
A devar should be careful about touching his vahini. Without extreme need, touching is no no.
