The good samaritan: Divyanka

Divyanka Tripathi aka Vidya of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, was shooting for a sequence where she had to run backwards holding a four-year-old child in her arms.

Dressed in a sari, Divyanka could not balance herself and tripped, suffering several injuries. Thankfully, the child escaped unhurt.

Divyanka says, "We were shooting an accident scene and I was required to run backwards holding the child, Raj Lathia, in my arms. It didn't seem so difficult, so I agreed to do the scene. But I was wearing a sari and the terrain was rough. I realised the difficulty of the task while doing the scene. And as feared, I fell and injured my hand and back. But I did not let the baby get hurt. I had a firm grip on him, so he fell on me and got entangled in my sari.

" His parents thanked me for protecting their child. No matter what happens to me, I did not want to carry the guilt of letting the child get hurt."

The director Ismail Umar Khan says, "We were shooting a scene where the child meets with an accident. We had to show that he gets run down by a jeep. Now, driving a jeep is a task because of its size and pick-up.

"So we had to execute this scene very carefully. Hence, we decided to make Divyanka run backwards while the jeep would move forward.

"But in the attempt, Divyanka fell, which is not surprising given her costume. Yet she took care that she didn't let the child get hurt."

Divyanka is such a sweet person...to put someone else concern before her own..Hmm...I wonder what the child's accident means in context of the serial....

aww...that's so nice of Divyanka to not let the little child get hurt..Thanks for sharing...so are they going to show the child die or get hurt in the accident?

The child doesn't get hurt...... it's in front of the mandir, that's the scene and he doesn't get hurt at all😃

How sweet..!! Divya is very sweet, touchwood the child didn't hurt, very down to earth😃
