After Geetopdesh Arjun’s chariot falls back to Pandavas Sena .

Bheeshm is waiting .. Duryodhan comes forwards and Duryodhan makes fun of him.
Yudhishthira comes n seeks permission for beginning the battle . Bheeshm blesses him with “vijayi Bhava” Bheeshm gets emotional and blesses him, Yudhisthir then seeks blessings from. Guru Dronacharya. He also blesses “vijayi Bhava” He hopes Pandavas should fight bravely n not insult his preachings. He wants to die at the hands of Arjun .

Yudhishthira seeks blessings from kulguru  kripacharya, to fight him  , “vijayi Bhava” is the blessings he gets . He also gets blessings from Mama Shri Madra Naresh. Duryodhan is furious as all blessed their enemy with Vijayi Bhava . Yudhishthir then addresses both armies , this was Dharm yudh at Kurukshetra , he asks any body who wanted to change sides was free to do so . 
Yuyutsu decides to change sides n joins Yudhisthir’s side shocking entire Kuru Sena , Yudhisthir welcomes him. 
Duryodhan protests ,  here’s  him shows him the mirror . 
Gandhari feels pleased Yuyutsu chose another brother but sad that what ever happened it was bad news for Hastinapur .

At Kurukshetra .. all maharathis sound their conches from both sides .. they shout the order AKRAMAN !!! 

Both armies clash 

At Hastinapur Dhritarashtra asks Sanjay to keep watch who fired the first shot. 

At Kurukshetra, fighting begins, Arjun and Bheeshm cause casualties on opposite armies . Then they begin their fight with eachother. Duryodhan fights with Bheeshm, Drona with Drupad , 

Krishn shishya, Bheeshm’s grandson, Arjun Putra Abhimanyu arrives to confront Bheeshm , seeks blessings from grandfather. They fight bravely .

At Hastinapur, Sanjay laments he was unable to see Arjun Putra Abhimanyu was fighting with Grandpa Bheeshm, who should be blessing him. Dhritarashtra is unaffected by this n he only wants his own sons to be safe. 

As Ashwatthama fights Bheeshm, he asks him to fight elsewhere as he could not kill his grandson and Ashwatthama could not kill Bheeshm .Duryodhan comes to pitamah’s aid but Ashwatthama refuses to fight him as his elders had vouched for his blood .

Severe fighting goes on and on. Duryodhan passes orders to Dronacharya and Kripacharya to shield a Bheeshm as he was very important for Kuru Sena. Duryodhan then goes after Yuyutsu, whom he considered traitor. Shalya Naresh  kills Matsya Naresh’s  Putra Uttar  .Matsya Naresh gives this news to his wife  Sudeshna, after battle pauses at sunset. Battlefield is strewn with dead bodies of warriors. Kunti n Gandhari meet n share their grief n hopelessness. 
At Yudh shivir , Pandavas n Krishn visit the wounded soldiers shivir. Yudhishthira is saddened to see the dead bodies were much more than the wounded. Krishn assures him not to think of future, to fight  for truth and not think of consequences. He assures Yudhisthir will surely win. 
At next sunrise the battle restarts , Arjun and Bheeshm cause mass casualties on opposite sides . Drupad n Dronacharya fight , Bheem rescues Drupad n takes him away. Arjun confronts Bheeshm. He seeks permission and then blows the Dhananjay Shankh. Draupadi n Sudeshna hear the sound and are sure Arjun was entering a duel .

In his shivir Karn gets restless to fight.
