Malang: pure torture!

I made the mistake of watching Malang today. An unintentionally funny movie which delves into the dark male psyche and a revenge drama, it's BAD. Acting is also sub-par. Disha Patani is half-baked. Aditya Roy Kapur is marginally better. Anil Kapoor is gimmiky.

How on earth did this movie become even average at the b.o.?

Anil Kapoor was definitely a little OTT for me. His crazy laugh got annoying after a point. But I thought Kunal Khemu did a good job. and i liked how the pressure his character felt from his co-workers ("to be a man," have sex, etc.) was what drove him to violence because unfortunately that does happen irl and i wasn't expecting a mass thriller like malang to touch on a topic like that. sure, this point was definitely glossed over and there was more focus on revenge and action, but the thought was there, which elevated the movie and made it a bit (just a bit lol) more intellectual for me.
