are you guys even seeing the news.

Govt already announced today relief for every sector of the public, daily wage workers, farmers, doctors, beggars etc

i really really hate the opposition and libtards who for the sake of whining are simply complaining!!!

jesus, this is an unprecedented event. still India is one of the top countries to handle this in a remarkable manner.

Where developed countries like USA are struggling, India is way ahead.

With the limited money we have and high population, how the govt has handled this hats off!

Well said . It's not Indian govt which we say dirty politics , modi is better than trump , our govt with humanity , our protectors , our well wishers , our Indian team true real heroes out there for sacrifice n welfare of d nation risking their own lives out there . Every citizen must be a soldier n fight with unity dis cov n over come it . God bless india forever .even trump right in dis cov case but he lost credibility n didn't handle well .hattss off to Indian team risking their own lives n doing splendid job in tat over populated country , supreme sacrifice.india will fight it n over come it , God bless India forever.

These are very tough decisions to make, one way or another.  I can see anurag's points as well as appreciate how unfeasible it would have been to do so.  At the same time, it would be helpful if  the government does its bit to ensure essential food and supplies being made available with easy access.

It is also true that not all indians are educated or being able to wisely discern health safety as you all do.  Shouting back at them or calling them rude words is going to make more obstinate; not help them understand.  Sometimes people do come outdoors in group of 3 or 4 just to get some fresh air and leave within 30 minutes or so.  As long as they are not affecting others, we need to also learn to be civil.

On a different note, there was a clinical workshop I had to attend in another town around this time, an year ago, handled by a tyrant person for 6 days a week. Around those times, I would fervently wish for trains to be late/cancelled due to rain and everything ran perfect (and am glad things ran smoothly for other commuters).  I soon quit and joined elsewhere. I suppose the current attendees would be thankful for a brief respite.  Because she was the kind who would keep things running full-time even during public holidays, even expecting people to stay over locked down in the clinic during torrential rains vs going back to family; treating people worse than construction workers on site.

These attention seekers r not the only problem. There r many more like them who r thankfully not celebrities. Even on local levels, in our towns, cities and colonies..Apne aap ko experts samajhte hai, arm chair critics..advice bhi dete hai... government ko bhar bhar ke gaali dete hai..lekin khud ek kaam nahi karte..when they r called to take any action even on apartment level they all hide behind the safety of their homes under the pretext of work.

And it doesn't matter to them whether it is the centre, the state govt or city civic bodies..their only aim is to criticize...to prove on SM that they r the experts and could've done everything better.

All these people should be handed over the responsibility for a day once this calamity calms down

But they won't na..told u they don't take responsibility even on a lower level. They themselves don't trust their capabilities.

So crisis me nahi..at least let them take responsibility when the going is smooth ..even then they will struggle

While I do have full sympathy for migrant workers the situation would have been disastrous if given more time. Announcing that country will go on lockdown mode after a week would have created chaos. Lakhs and lakhs of passengers traveling in train/flight etc would have been disastrous for the country's situation. The number of infected would have gone up by 5-10 thousand in couple of weeks and community transmission in full effect. After that no lockdown would have prevented India from going down like Italy/USA. There was no time for that as much as the plight of the migrants is not good. The 1.7lakh crr package and states themselves should try to take care of these people for sometime atleast.

first arrangement then act karte karte aaj Italy ka yeh haal hai .... still people not understanding the need of social distancing .....

Many state police and other social worker start providing food to needy people those are on-road or depended on daily wages. Government doing their best and aur abhi yeh situation without support of public government bhi kuch nahi kar sakti ...

Kolkata: A man who died in West Bengal’s Howrah district after stepping out to buy milk during the lockdown was not a victim of police assault but died of chronic diarrhoea and cardiac arrest after losing consciousness and falling in a bathroom on March 25 on Thursday, shows the post-mortem examination report.
