Hello everyone i am ramisa and today i have come here with my story called ''Nishidh''
In bengali, nishidh refers to forbidden, something which is considered to be a taboo in the society. But why was Anirudh and bondita's love forbidden? you will soon know why.

Set in 1900,''Nishidh'' tells you the story of 17 year old Bengali girl, Bondita. A melodious singer who used to live in a small village of Calcutta. She loved living her life like a free bird. She was a curious soul who had a question for everyone and everything. The free-spirited girl was famous all around her village for two things, her beauty and her singing. But soon her life took a different turn. In order to support her old widowed mother and 3 younger sisters she agreed to marry the 50 year old landlord Omarnath Thakur (Ronit Roy) . Omarnath Thakur was one of the richest Zamindars (landlords) of Calcutta and had two daughters. After his wife died, he married the 17 year old Bondita so that she can look after his girls and his mother Soudamini Devi. After the marriage, she was not allowed to sing because ''thakur barir bou ra aishob kore na'' (prestigious daughter inlaws should know their limit)or roam around like a free bird... she was in a way tied up in a shackle and she happily accepted all of it as her mother told her that after marriage a girl should not have any desire but her entire world turns upside down when the handsome musician from London, Anirudh roy chowdhury, comes to live in their neighborhood.

Do you want to know what happens after anirudh and bondita meets? If so, then please let me know in the comment 😳

P.s in this story anirudh is 26

Oh God! This reminds me of broken nest and chokher Bali of rabindranath Tagore.

I watched stories by rabindranath Tagore on epic TV and fell in love with pre independence Bengal and it's culture. Specially the broken nest episode it aired. The adaptation literally shook me it was so good.

This show interested me initially because of this only but I stayed because of amazing story.

This FF is giving me the same feels and I'm sure I'll love even more as the story progresses.

Absolutely amazing concept. This should be a TV show but Indian audience is too immature to handle shows like these.

Please do continue soon 🤗

Being a bengali myself I am a big lover of pre independent bengal stories 😳 so keeping that in mind I came up with this story which I hope you people will like

And no tv might not like as the story would be a bit controversial
