"You, Maya, you are my sleepless dream and my dreamless sleep. I wish I could shout from the rooftops that I love you."
"Roofs are not right places for confession. They don't measure the depths of heart like water can."
"What do you mean?"
The cold river flowed ahead. Maya looked at the water that rushed past the hotel building and then at Rudra.
Ask him to jump, her rational side told her, if he dies, you win!
But will you really though? The innocent Maya in her peeked.
Don't listen to her, think with your brain, your heart is long dead!
Is not!
Maya looked at Rudra who was anticipating his next words.
"I could jump and prove my love for you?"
"And how does you dieing benefit me?"
"I...didn't.. think of that?" He smiled like a baby at her. Maya rolled her eyes.
"Leave me, ever, and I throw you off this building, with no regrets, hurt me, and you will wish for death, betray me, and you will witness hell on this very earth,"
"Love me, and I will love you in return, trust me, and I'll help you heal yourself, believe in me and you will know what it is to live,"
Maya looked at h in surprise as he cupped her face and titled his head, as if asking for permission.
She didn't move and neither did he, instead he stepped aside and smiled at her, then turned to enjoy the red and purple view of the sky.
