Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior Has Extraordinary Second Weekend

Tanahji - The Unsung Warrior had an extraordinary second weekend of 47.25 crore nett which has taken its ten day business to 162 crore nett plus. The second weekend was the highest since Sanju (2018) beating Kabir Singh and Uri - The Surgical Strike. It has beaten all of the releases last year in the second weekend though the second week numbers of Kabir Singh may be tough to beat as that film held on phenomenally over the weekdays

The drop in week two is just 20% from the first weekend which is an extraordinary trend for a film which was released on more than 3500 screens. The film is a historic BLOCKBUSTER in Maharashtra and Mumbai circuit with unbelievable collections in practically all centres of Maharashtra. In Nizam / Andhra the collections from Aurangabad may end up higher than Hyderabad which is unheard of and never happened for any major release.

The film is a SUPER HIT film and will easily surpass the 200 crore nett mark and maybe even go to 225 crore nett. The business in North and East is AVERAGE at best but with Mumbai circuit running riot it means excellent overall numbers. The collections of Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior are as follows.

Saw the movie today to a full house 9:30pm show... Loveed Sharad Kelkar as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj... he seemed so real... Ajay did well and Kajol was good too... I don’t think this movie is close to what the history is but ai am glad that a movie is based on these real heroes who fought relentlessly against the Mughals... Saif was good but I felt he copied Ranveer’s Khilji act... visuals were good, set and clothes were nicely done... songs were not required at all.

Saw the movie..frankly speaking after reading the reviews had huge expectations from the movie.

But the movie failed to impress me because of the story that they showed was not at all correct. they completely changed it,

Hence for me its was a one time watch...no exceptional performance by any characters.

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior Heads For Huge Second Week

Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior is heading for a huge second week which will be among the top second weeks of all time. It will be up there among the 300 crore nett films with Mumbai circuit beating them all barring Bahubali - The Conclusion.

The second Monday has collected around 8 crore nett as per early estimates which is just a 20% drop from teh Friday. This takes the total collection to 170 crore nett plus and it will cross the business of films like Mission Mangal, Good Newwz and Bharat in no time. The former may well be by the end of the second week.

The second week seems to be heading for the 75 crore nett mark which was hit by only Kabir Singh last year and Sanju the year before and the drop of just 33% has probably never been seen by such a wide release. The film could beat the numbers of Uri - The Surgical released same time last year, the trend may not be as strong as Uri - The Surgical strike as that film had phenomenal trending but the numbers till date are far higher than Uri - The Surgical Strike.

Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior is now performing at a different level altogether. The film is just not slowing down at all and the hold that it demonstrated on its second Monday is a testimony to that. The film collected Rs. 8.17 crores and that is excellent both on absolute as well as relative scale. Absolute, because this is now amongst the top second Mondays of all time. Relative, because there is hardly any fall when compared to second Friday numbers of Rs. 10.06 crores.

#Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior

Had this been the first Monday number, even that wouldn’t have been bad and here the Om Raut directed film is collecting so much in the second week. So far, the film has collected Rs. 175.62 crores and is a clear superhit. In fact the manner in which it is going currently, it could well emerge as a blockbuster success as well. The film will cross Rs. 200 crores by Saturday, if not Friday itself and post that would be heading for a bigger lifetime number.

Next

The Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer would be facing competition from Street Dancer 2 this Friday and one now waits to see how the distribution of screens takes place. For the distributors and exhibitors, it would be a happy problem to solve as Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior is just not losing steam while the Varun Dhawan – Shraddha Kapoor film is carrying good vibes as well, especially amongst youth.

Tanahji - The Unsung Warrior continues its super strong run as it collects 7.50-7.75 crore nett on its second Tuesday which takes the total to 178 crore nett and its looking to hit the 200 crore nett mark in its third weeeknd and will also probably cross the numbers of Golmaal Again which is the biggest grosser of Ajay Devgn.

The second week numbers of the film will be one the biggest ever and could finish in sixth or seventh place. There will be competition in the third week with two major releases which could affect its run especially outside Maharashtra when the collections are not that huge. In Maharashtra it will provide good competition for the new releases as the film being loved in this state. It will be no surprise if the collections of Tanhaji - The Usung Warrior are more than Panga in Mumbai circuit despite it being the third week though in North that may not be the case.  The collections of Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior are as follows.

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior Is HISTORIC In Mumbai Circuit

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior is a HISTORIC BLOCKBUSTER in Mumbai circuit and is sure to be the biggest grosser (NETT or GROSS) if we include outright Hindi films. The film has already collected an outstanding 88 crore nett in just 13 days and stands as the eight highest NETT grosser in the circuit and will probably go sixth after todays collections are added. the film has crossed the top film of last year Kabir Singh in just 13 days.

These numbers are coming with good numbers in Gujarat / Saurashtra but they are not outstanding which shows how big Maharashtra is for this film.  The film is going to cruise past the Dangal numbers in the circuit and it will cross the 100 crore nett mark over the third weekend. there has never been a major grosser in the history of Hindi cinema which has a 50% or contribution from Mumbai circuit and Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior will be the first. There have been HIT films which have seen a Mumbai contribution like this but always smaller films and not big grossers. The top NETT grossers in Mumbai circuit till date are as follows.

Tanahji - The Unsung Warrior is set to emerge a BLOCKBUSTER as it collected 4.75-5 crore nett on its third Friday despite strong competition from two new releases. This was going to be its toughest Friday but the new releases have not made much a difference and now the film is set for a strong run for the next few weeks.

The third Friday collections of the film in Mumbai circuit are more than the first day collections of Panga and it could be than on day two and three the film could be competing with Street Dancer 3 in Mumbai. The film now could be become the biggest BLOCKBSUTER for Ajay Devgn as it could beat the footfalls of Golmaal Again. The collections are lopsided and its rare for films that are lopsided to become a BLOCKBUSTER but Maharashtra is simply insane at all its centres. The collections in Pune are almost three times the collections of Delhi city which is unheard off. well deserved. i had not doubts this movie will do wonders at boxoffice after seeing movie on big screen. even when i went for 2nd outing theater was bloody packed, full house.

loved to bits!!

i say its gonna be tough for any movie to top this one.
