I doubt it's not in France unless the woman wanted to abort past a certain time in her pregnancy.

Otherwise women (even minors without their parents being notified) can abort with no justification in France until their twelfth week of pregnancy. And it's against the law to try and prevent someone to get an abortion.

Savita Halappanavar[3][4] (née Savita Andanappa Yalagi; 9 September 1981 – 28 October 2012) was an Indian woman, living in Ireland, whose death led to the passing of the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act 2013.[5] Medical staff at University Hospital Galway denied her request for an abortion following an incomplete miscarriage on the grounds that granting her request would be illegal under Irish law, ultimately resulting in her death from septic miscarriage.[6] Her death served as a rallying cry for efforts to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland, which prohibited abortion in most instances.

Every child deserves to have a loving family.. if the parents don't want one then abortion is a right choice, instead of bringing an unwanted/unloved baby into this world.

You are basing your argument on Good News, where Doc says that you have a blessing when you are pregnant. I don't find fault in this reasoning. Being Pregnant when the future mother want to be is a blessing.

In the movie, both Deepu and Monika are desperate to be pregnant. For them it was a blessing.

There are many situations when abortion can be unethical and in many situation abortion can be ethical. female foeticide is unethical whereas rape case abortions are very much ethical. Ethical/Unethical issue is very subjective in every case not just abortion. Everyone has their own set of ethics, so this issue will be always be very subjective and can discussed case to case, region to region, person to person. Grey area in this discussion is very large.

There was a whole chapter in the bestseller Freakonomics. Abortion illegal karne ka nateeja examples ke saath likkhe hue hai waha pe. Time mile toh padh lena.

Abortion illegal karne se sirf aurat ko hi nahin pure society pe asar padta hai... crime shime badh jaate hai.
