Alakshmi the secret Twin

Alakshmi is the elder twin of Lakshmi when things come into being in the universe there exist both good and bad. Lakshmi is positive while Alakshmi is a negative force, Alakshmi is the opposite of Lakshmi in every way. 

Lakshmi brings happiness, fortune, wealth, knowledge, peace, prosperity, children, love, and beauty.  

Alakshmi brings depression, misfortune, poverty, faithlessness, discord, plagues, diseases, causes miscarriages along with the death of children and resides in the dark where there is no love and generally unhygienic places. It was said that when she entered a household, Alakshmi brought jealousy and malice in her trail. Brothers fell out with each other, families and their male lineages (kula) faced ruin and destruction.

She always stays beside Lakshmi, no matter where she goes Alakshmi follows her creating havoc, she is usually represented as an owl sitting at the feet of Lakshmi. This is why it is said wealth brings problems with it, cause Alakshmi ensures that Lakshmi's stay is miserable. 

Alakshmi was born out of the mud which was formed at the time of pralaya when all existences in the creation in their purest form got assimilated into Narayana and all the impurities remained in the form of mud in the waters of pralaya. And at the time of Samudra Manthan arrives she first as all the negativity had to be churned out of the waters to make way for pure Lakshmi. Alakshmi appeared in the form of the poison Halahal, which Mahadev drank but a few drops escaped him and dissolved into the ocean. These drops created Alaskhmi. 

She goes by the name Jeyshta, as she is the elder sister of Lakshmi and is also called Daridra and Kalapriya as she is the wife of the demon Kali, the lord of Kaliyuga. 

Yukti is going to play both the roles of Lakshmi and Alakshmi, The previous serials that I watched have shown two separate actresses for both the characters as Lakshmi is the goddess of Beauty and Alakshmi the Goddesse of Ugliness often described as being “cow-repelling, antelope-footed, and bull-toothed." Or she “has a dry shrivelled up body, sunken cheeks, thick lips, and beady eyes. 

Obviously she is not gonna be shown in her puranic description as she is going to be played by our Beautiful Yukti, It will be nice to see Yukti in a negative role though as she is such a talented actress, she will get to expand upon her acting skills further.

I liked her in Siya ke Ram itself, her portion was less as Urmila but still she was impressive in that role.. 👏

They sort off showed this in the previous Namah, but didn't expand on it and gave it their own twist. 

Like Kali was pagal about aquring the drops of halahal and he acquired them and then used it to turn the mind of people into poison, but they didnt show that it was alakshmi. 

But as they are fixing all the mistakes off the previous Namah i think this time we will get a beautiful track. Especially the reunion between Vishnu and shree after samudra manthan that was missing before. 

Maybe they will bring back the person playing Kali as well, he was a good actor. with good storytelling they could show a antagonist side of him well.

Kali is the main villain in the Kalki Puran, So they have to bring him in during the last stages of the serial.
