Book where Author has strong of Psychology reflected in characters?

Anyone have a book suggestion where the author has a great understanding of human psychology and that really comes through in the characters? It could be any genre from Fantasy or Sci Fi to Thriller etc...

Examples books that I liked where I felt this were The Silent Patient (Author had a background in psychology which shone thorough the story and characters) and The Watchmen (main characters each based on a different philosophy with different psychological profiles that reflect real life).

I would highly recommend Educated by Tara Westover. It a memoir, but it is unlike anything I have read before. It tackles psychological issues head on and sheds light on how it can affect families.
