Hi guys this is Shaina

I have have been watching this show since day one and it's contemporary story telling is what attracted me in the first place. It is relatable on so many levels to today's lifestyles and the kind of relationships we have.

I have only written one or two stories on couple of other forums.

Just thought I should try writing one for Ronakshi

Do let me know how you like it 😊

Thank you.

Ronakshi : Move the way love makes you move.

It had been 6 months since the Pune incident where Rohit had almost crossed all the limits of his obsession for Raima.

But the aftermath that followed; his concerned family members, their fear of losing him a little with each passing day, their helplessness; had made him realise how insensitive and selfish, though unintentionally, he had become. He was so lost rather, unknowingly sucked  into  his despair, his heart break, his turmoil that he hardly had any thoughts about the people around him during the days leading up to the Pune incident.

He was always a family person. He loved them with all his heart. Then how could have he been so self absorbed that he didn't notice the impact he had on his family.

That incident that put things in perspective for him to a certain extent. Not that he had completely forgotten about Raima but he was working towards keeping it to himself and not letting others suffer because of it.

That night Sonakshi had found him unconscious on the road and she had safely gotten him to the hospital.

She was there for him throughout his recovery. Not that he didn't acknowledge it or was grateful for what she was doing for him but some part of him thought he didn't deserve her affection and care.

Those days in the hospital had made him realise and admire the purity of her heart- which had not only  forgiven the guy who had practically manhandled her during the fashion show fiasco but had also gone above and beyond to help him recover. He was in awe of the kindness, affection, compassion and at the same time the strength this woman possessed. She had forgiven him, or so he thought when he had never really apologized to her in person. And yet, she was there for him leaving behind everything every step of the way, be it helping Pooja getting her rightful justice or helping him get his life back on track.

He had made up his mind a hundred times to speak with her and apologize, but he couldn't get himself to do that. While one of the many reasons was how ashamed he felt, what he actually feared was her never forgiving him.

After his discharge from the hospital, initially he felt weird and lost without her as he didn't get to see her on a daily basis like he had gotten used to during his hospital stint.

In the beginning he must have made a thousand of different excuses every now and then to see her, go out on dinner dates with her or just hang out with her for that matter. But soon it became a routine of his life, spending time with her, pouring out his heart in front of her, sharing things with her one day at a time.

6 months had passed by and they had created their own set of memories, had their moments as any normal best friends- like they used to call their relationship- in the world would. Until the last incident that had come spiralling in to  create a chaos in their rather peaceful life.

They had gone for their regular dinner date and post dinner they went to sit by Marine drive and talk. This was a ritual whenever they used to meet his side of town. As they both lived on relatively opposite ends of the city, they had reached consensus to alternately pick restaurants on their side of the town. So whenever they used to have dinner in his side of town, a walk down the Marine drive was a ritual they never missed.

That day too, they were just sitting down side by side facing the sea, feeling the breeze, experiencing the calmness and the rattling of the ocean all at once.

They had grown comfortable of each other's physical proximity but that day according to them, they had crossed a line. They had shared their first kiss. Both of them didn't know how to react to what had happened. They never spoke about it after that day and things got awkward to an extent that they weren't even speaking with each other on phone or chatting as they usually did.

This had created an unknown sense of restlessness and fear in Rohit's heart. Feelings he had only experienced and associated with Raima. The feeling of losing her rather the fear of losing HER.

For Sonakshi that kiss meant everything she could possibly hope for and more. It had compassion, a sense of completeness and to her surprise even sincerity in it. Under normal  circumstances she would have been on cloud nine after her first kiss with Rohit. HER Rohit. But this kiss that they shared, their friendship or whatever they liked to call it, the connection they had with each other, unfortunately all of this wasn't a part of a ideal scenario. A scenario where you meet someone, share a strong connection, feel attracted to that person, develop feelings, your feelings get reciprocated and you live happily ever after with them.

What Sonakshi and Rohit had was anywhere but close to that ideal scenario.

She liked him a lot. Was attracted towards him, felt a connection with him and would have been head over heels in love with him fantasizing their happily ever after, had she not kept reminding herself not to fall in love with him.

At least that is what she made herself believe every now and then.

Rohit was the first guy in her life after Karan whom she would go to any lengths to keep in her life. She was ready to do it all. Even if it meant not falling for him or keeping her feelings it check even though it killed her every second that she couldn't tell hi. how she felt about him. How she wanted to fall for him. Love him. Hold him, kiss him, care for him, take away all his sorrows. Spend her life with him. Have her forever with him. How could she ?

It wasn't as if Rohit had kept her in dark about his past and had charmed his way into her heart and life. If anything the reality was far from it. She knew everything about Rohit and his past. She had seen it all. His love for Raima, his longing her, his obsession for her, his pain, his relentless efforts to get her back in his life and his undying hope that he will have her back in his life someday.

Even though after the Pune incident Rohit had started keeping things to himself when it came to Raima, Sonakshi knew that he still missed her, longed for her presence in his life and even loved her to this day.

Given everything she knew, how could she allow herself to fall for him only to find out he wouldn't reciprocate the same for her. She knew love was all about selflessly giving without expecting anything in return. Unconditionally loving without any expectations. But then whom was she kidding. We all are human beings after all. We all want to feel loved in return no matter what. Otherwise why would everyone in this world relentlessly strive in search of that one connection, that one special bond, that happily ever after, that in sickness and in health and that forever after. Everyone would have been happy with their unrequited love. But nobody is and nobody ever will be.

And Sonakshi knew that. She had to protect herself from the inevitable. Her falling head over heels in love with him and him not reciprocating the same. And she was trying the best she could. But with every passing day he was making it difficult for her to not fall for him just a little bit more. The more she had gotten to know him, she admired him as she started to understand him. She could see things for his perspective and even understand them. The fortress she had built around her heart to protect it from what she feared, was coming down with every passing day.

But one day he had done something that had increased her respect for him by tenfold.

He had come over to her place and personally apologized to her, her mother and Pari for whatever had happened between the two families in the past.

She had seen him calmly listen to her mother when she yelld at him and hurled nasty comments at him and all this time he hadn't  even once raised his voice or disrespected her in anyway.

This incident had made her see Rohit in a whole different light.

The know it all, Mr. Right Rohit Sippy she had known, knew his flaws and even had the stomach to accept them in front of others.

This was the moment had come spiralling in destroying the fortress she had built which she still was trying to put a full stop till their kiss.

The kiss was what she could only explain as an explosion of every emotion she had suppressed, every feeling that she had felt for him. There was no coming back from this for her. Despite her uncountably futile yet cumbersome efforts, she couldn't stop the inevitable. She couldn't stop herself from falling in love with him. With her Rohit.

That's it for this part.

Hope you enjoy it guys !!!

Do let me know if you would want me to write a part 2 as a continuation to this part.

Looking forward to writing for you guys.
