R&B shut it off again

“Let her relax I say” Appaordered

“she is scrubbing the sink”R&B mocked

Sahana jumped from Appa’s arms toR&B’s

II was stacking dishes in shelves

Appa shook his head and leftmumbling promising to warn his wife to come home quick

Sahana was kicking her ankletclad feet and rocking herself to sleep

“I should have listened to youand brought her back last night” he mumbled

“II” “Lets go talk” he begged

“Po da, go home… I am not going”

“U are” he said firmly

That familiar racing happenedagain, the same possessiveness was intact even after 14 years

“Give her to me, u can have theother three” she mumbled wiping her arms in her cotton saree

He leaned and grazed her bare shoulder

She stepped back

“Idu appa veedu” she warned pushing him away

“Lets go TALK” he was angry

“No… she is asleep go put her in Amma Appa’s room and go, I have clothes all over my bed

“Whose clothes?” he asked suspiciously

“Oh just the guy that lives across, he digs me”

“Nice” he muttered walked over to lay his daughter down

Returned, II was making coffee

“Venuma?”

“Ha” he cackled thinking she poisoned it

“Don’t tempt me” she mumbled shaking her head
