With Mishti, he doesn't seem to know her as much as he should and it doesn't seem to bother him either. How can he not notice how she is different in his parent's presence and in their absence? He never thought of discussing it with her, even jokingly, that she is a complete different person in front of his parents? He also doesn't seem to see that Mishti is a bit withdrawn from him, except for asking her once or twice if all is well with her or not,he doesn't seem bothered about it nor cares to try and find out what is bothering her.
On the one hand he is modern enough to not care Mishti kissing someone in her bachelorette party or having a stripper there on the other, he thinks it's okay to get cards printed without even consulting Mishti?I mean this is Mishti's wedding too, should she not have the chance to choose her own wedding card? He brings his parents to Mishti's house without Mishti even knowing that he is coming over, what sort of an unreal relationship is this?
I want to care for Veer because right now it seems like he will end up with the shorter side of the stick but I can't find anything remotely relatable about him. He is friends with Ruhaan who he treats like a best friend but clearly they can't be best friends because Ruhaan didn't even know Mishti existed before he landed up in the same city as his friend' Veer. And now Veer fights with Mishti for Ruhaan, calls Ruhaan bhai and like a closest kin, gives his contact information for RSVP. Does he not have any other friends or relatives who are closer to him than Ruhaan? But if he is that close to Ruhaan why can't be understand Ruhaan and see his discomfort? But then again, he had no idea that his leech friend of his was a molester either. He seems to have zero knowledge and understanding of the people he claims to care for.He lives in his own la la land where he asks Mishti to do this,Ruhaan to do that,Pari to do this without the slightest concern towards what they really want to do.
I understood him getting upset a Mishti during her birthday, she was very much out of line there.I would be too if my husband misbehaved with someone that way too but not receiving calls and all was out of line on his part.Nothing enormous had happened between them that he would behave like this with her.
I am sorry but I am completely unable to read Veer. He seems extremely understandable in certain aspects while literally bossy and dominating in others. But that is not why Veer frustrates me.He frustrates me most for his lack of depth: things that would bother others do not seem to bother him, things normal people would want to talk about, would make sure to discuss,he doesn't talk about or discuss. To me,he seems to live on the surface, completely out of tune with Mishti,Ruhaan and even that drunkard's character and personality.
