Finally the day was here for which both Sameer and Naina had been desperately waiting from past 6 months. With Nanu's sudden demise and Sameer shifting to Delhi both lovers had been surviving only on love letters and ocassional phone calls hiding from the prying eyes of evil daddhi at Sameer's place and taiji at Naina's. All this while the distance between cities had only brought their hearts closer.
Two weeks back Naina had received his letter stating he'll be coming soon to meet her but date she had to guess. Topper naina immediately understood it had to be a special day and no other day was special to them as their friendship anniversary .She was so elated to meet him after a long gap of six months which had passed as ages for both.But wait this day needed to be celebrated in a special manner. She thought of a spending this day entirely with Sameer and make it a memorable experience for him afterall she knew how upset Sameer was these days considering his family was not at all supportive towards him.
Like always their gang was all supportive .Though Munna and Pandit too were excited to meet their friend afterall this separation had taken a toll on them too but they decided to give the love birds a little privacy afterall they can wait a little more to meet their dear friend. Preeti was as usual supportive towards her sister afterall she too had seen Naina in pain of forceful separation for all this time and finally it was time for her to be happy.
Preeti: "behen tu chinta mat kar mai sb sambhal lungi tu bs ja aur jijaji k sath mazey kar par hn 6bje tak aa jana mai bol dungi tu swati k ghar chali gyi thi school se usey pdane."
"Naina sun jijaji ki fav dress pehen k jaana pink wali unki nazar nai hategi tujh par se" and gave a naughty wink.
Finally on the day Naina and Preeti left early for school she had to visit Swati's home to change her attire and later everyone reached school.Though meeting spot wasn't predecided yet somehow Naina knew that Sameer would land up in school to meet her as this was the special place where destiny had planned to change their lives forever. Everyone wished Naina and went inside the school while Naina kept waiting for him outside. After awhile she could feel the familiar breeze yes the moment she had been craving for a while is here... her Sameer... she turned to see him and there he was all decked up in red T-shirt and white pants with his shades onn as usual being his handsome best. Seeing naina lost he clicked his fingers in front of her "Kya hua kaha kho gyi " ... "tum mei" she replied shyly. Time froze ... the moment was here difficult to believe but yes it was here ..Tears trickled down Naina's eyes seeing him so close to her. Both shared an intense eyelock being apart from each other had only made them yearn for each other more. Longing to be together and their love for each other overpowered all moral fears and she stepped forward and hugged him tight. Startled by her movement it took a minute for Sameer to register what happened but in another minute he too wrapped his arms around her waist she sobbed harder "Sameer tumhe pta hai kaise bithe yeh din tumhare bina ek ek pal itne mushkil se guzra ..pls phir kbhi mujhe chodkr mt jana.Mujhe maaf kar do jb tumhe meri sbse zyada zarurat thi meri mai nai thi tumhare sath mai janti hu nanaji tumhari dunya they unke chale jane se tumhe kitna dhakka laga hoga mai unki jagah toh nai le skti Sameer par mai wada krti hu jb tak mai tumhare sath hu tumhe akela mehsus nhi hone dungi tumhari dost, tumhari sathi ,tumhari humsafar bnkr zindagi k har ache bure waqt mei tumhara sath dungi.Par hn nanaji ki tarah gahlat raastey par chlne nai dungi kaan pakad kr sahi raasta bhi dikhaungi." Sameer tilted abit and lifted her head with his one hand and wiped her tears."Maine bhi tumhe bhut yaad kiya aur mai tumhe chodkr thodi gya tha tumne hi toh kaha tha na Naina shehro mei dooriyan aaskti h pr humare dilo mei nhi .Mai jahn bhi rahu mera dil hamesha tumhare pass hi rehta h. Janti ho Naina aakhiri saas lene se pehle Nanu ne humei aashirwad diya tha kyunki shyd voh jaantey they ki tum hi meri sachi jeevan saathi ho mai jab bhi ladkadhaunga tum mujhe sambhal logi aaj jahn bhi honge nanu humei dekh k khush honge."
Naina smiled faintly on hearing his assurance and asked him to come along. "Kaha le jaa rhi ho" asked Sameer. "Wahi jahn koi aata jata nhi" replied Naina with a naughty wink. Sameer was quite surprised seeing bolder side of Naina first she hugged him and now taking him to some unknown place. Both of them boarded the rickshaw and reached the place. It was a beautiful place surrounded by hills and greenery all around as it was monsoon season the beauty of the place had increased many times. With the music of birds chirping the ambience was perfect for a romantic date. "Naina hum yahn kyu aaye hai" inquired Sameer ."Buddhu aaj humari friendship anniversary hai na toh maine socha ki milkr kuch acha time spend karenge ..school mei is time possible nhi hota toh laga yahn is khoobsurat jagah mei nature k bich thoda time spend kar lenge." Sameer seemed to be impressed by her idea of spending some time alone. Both of them settled themselves comfortably with Naina resting her head on Sameer's shoulder and sameer too snaked his arms around her waist. Both of them felt each others warmth which they had been missing all these months and enjoyed the new found closeness between them. Their shared their pains sorrows and everything else which was till now locked in their hearts. After nearly an hour of endless talks Naina said "Aaj humari dosti ko 1saal pura ho gya chalo dekhtey hai hum ekdusre ko ab tak kitna jantey hai. Aisa bhut kuch hai jo mujhe tumse puchna hai aur btana bhi hai.Har sahi answer pr tumko gift milega.When do u think I fell in love with you.Jawab do Mr Maheshwari "asked Naina. Pretending to think for a minute he said "ladkiyan toh marti hai mujhpr janti hi ho tum... par tum alag ho shyd ...tb jb mai tumhe shart k liye patane ki koshish kar rha tha.Thik bola na" enquired sameer. "Naaa bilkul ghalat jisdin maine tumko pehli baar dekha tha usi pal pehli nazar mei mai tumhe dil de baithi thi aur us din k bd se har ek pal tumhare liye mera pyar bdta hi gya ." Sameer always knew he had a great charm but never thought Naina had fell in love with him at first sight. Strangely he didn't react much and just nodded his head in agreement.
"Waise toh answer ghalat tha par mai tumhe humara pehla anniversary gift toh de hi deti hu" and took out tiffin from her purse which had his favt aloo parantha and took a morsel and fed him with her own hands. "janti hu gift bda nhi hai par tumhare pasand ka hai " frowned Naina.Sameer ate the whole parantha from her hands and said " feelings matter krti hai gift ka price nhi aur yeh toh bhut special tha".Now it was Sameer's turn "When u do think I fell in love with you."... It was Naina's turn to answer. "Us heroic badle wali shart k bd shyd " replied Naina in a sarcastic manner. Sameer smirked "Phir toh tum apne Sameer ko janti hi nhi ho. Yeh sach hai ki mujhe realise der se hua Munna Pandit ko toh kbka ka pta chal gya tha mai hi pagal tha jo itna time laga diya samjhne mei. Jis din tum mujhse takraayi usdin se hi mere mn mei tumhare liye ek alag sa soft corner tha phir tumne meri mdad kari padai mei mujhe sb acha lgta tha tumhara mere nanu ki fikhr krna mujhe bachane k liye apne papa se jhoot bolna pta hi nhi chala kab pyar ho gya tumse. Mt Abu ki khubsoort raaton mei mai apna dil haar baitha ... aur tumhara raat bhar meri care krna sweater bnana... shart toh kb ki piche choot gyi thi par shyd us time tumhe bta na saka aur us shart k chakkar mei tumhe haar baitha." Seeing sameer's eyes turning moist remembering the bet guilt Naina immediately changed the topic and said "Ab tum toh mere liye shyd gift laaye nai ho toh is answer k liye bhi mai hi tumhe gift deti hu " saying so she took out a diary from her purse and handed over to Sameer. He gave her a questioning look and said "Yeh kya hai " ... "Humari kahani" replied Naina with a smile. "Hn humari kahani tum toh jantey hona ki mai writer bna chahiti hu hamesha se aur Mt Abu mai maine tumse waada kiya tha ki apni har kahani tumko padwaungi toh yeh meri pehli kahani hai jo aaj sbse pehle tumko de rahi hu padhna aur btana kaisi lagi pr abhi is kahani ka anth adhura h aur voh mai tb likhungi jb tum mere sath hoge ."Sameer was so touched by whatever Naina was doing to make this day special..."Sameer ek baat aur hai jo mai tumhe btana chahiti hu jiska guilt aaj tak mere dil mei hai jo ho skta hai voh sunkar tum gussa karo par mai phir bhi btana chahiti hu already bhut der ho chuki hai par ab mujhe lgta hai humara rishta us mukaam par hai jahn kuch chupana nai chahiye mujhe " saying so Naina narrated the entire paper stealing truth to Sameer and how her own brother was at fault and not him. Naina almost broke down while telling him the truth "Mujhe maaf kar do Sameer maine us time itna ghalat kiya tumhare sath sach jaantey hue bhi apne bhai ka sath diya tumhe jo saza deni hai tum mujhe de sktey ho "Sameer stepped forward cupped her face and wiped the flowing tears "Naina mujhe acha laga ki aaj tumne mujhe yeh saari baat bta di acha laga yeh jaankar ki mai tum mei apne liye voh vishwas jagane mei kamayab raha jisne tumhe yeh himmat di ki tum mujhe sb sach bta sako hn thodi der hui par koi baat nai abse waada karo mujhse kuch bhi kehne k liye itna time nhi lagaogi. Rahi baat un papers ki baat purani ho chuki hai aur ab uspar gussa krke kya faayda ho sakey toh Arjun ko samjhna ki is tarah short cut lene ki bajai mehnat krey toh voh zyada behtar hoga aur ab tumhare liye mera pyar in sb baaton se upr hai bhool jao usey aur agar dekha jaye toh acha hua paper chori na hotey toh tum aur mai ek kaise hote saale sahab ko toh dhanyawaad krna padega mujhe" with this he giggled to lighten up her mood ..."Tum bhi na pagal ho ekdum" hit naina playfully on his shoulders.
Sameer : "Aaj tumne itna bda sach btaya toh gift toh meri taraf se bhi bnta hai" ..."Kaisa gift" asked Naina curiously.
Sameer stepped back a little and knelt down and took out a box from his pocket it had a ring... "Naina kya tum zindagi bhar k liye is hero ki heroine bnana pasand karogi... Will u give me a chance to redefine the word FOREVER in your life... I want to spend rest of my life with you... Pls be mine forever " Saying so he extended his hand seeking her permission to make her wear the ring she finally nodded in a yes. Both of them hugged each other tight stood silent for few minutes just to feel the moment and their love for each other. "Thank you Naina mere zindagi mei aane k liye aur isey apne pyar se pura krne k liye " sighed Sameer and kissed her forehead gently. Naina too was lost in the moment enjoying the warmth of his arms.
