Madhuri Dixit is all set to shoot a lavishly
mounted mujra for Abhishek Varman's
period drama Kalank for which she is
reuniting with choreographer Saroj Khan,
who directed her in chartbusters like "Ek
Do Teen (Tezaab), "Dhak Dhak (Beta) and
"Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai (Khalnayak). This
one is a joint collaboration with
choreographer-turned-director Remo
D'souza and will be shot early next month.

Madhuri and Saroj had last worked
together in "Sharam Laaj Mohe in Soumik
Sen's Gulaab Gang in 2014.
A source from the sets reveals that
Madhuri began rehearsals with Saroj and
Remo four days ago while the rest of the
team has been prepping on a set in
Andheri. While Madhuri and Saroj are
reuniting after four years, Remo agreed to
be part of it because Saroj is his senior.
Saroj confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, we
started work on the mujra four days ago.
I'm doing the choreography with Remo
looking into the technical aspects. The idea
is to create another memorable number
that will remind people of our previous
songs. People have forgotten pure Indian
songs, it's important to revive them. The
muj ra will be shot over three days on
September 5, 6 and 7.
The film also features Alia Bhatt, Varun
Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and
Sonakshi Sinha. Mirror had previously
reported (July 25), that the film's third
schedule had come to a halt for two weeks
after rains damaged the set on Andheri's
Chitrakoot grounds. It was rebuilt and the
team is aiming for a November wrap-up.
