I am very intrigued at the number of celebrities suddenly making YouTube videos, trying to use their star power to support BB contestants from elimination. This has happened for the senior contestants like Resham Aastad Ushatai more.
Do viewers get influenced by such appeals? I don't think I would change my opinion because someone popular told me to vote for so and so (because they are good friends 😲 What do I care who is friends with who?!)
Watching BB it seems some of the TV celebrities seem to think they are hugely popular are loved by viewers. The contestants who assumed they will go far in BB due to their senior status and so called fan following were the ones to get eliminated.
Viewers have not cared for seniority, popularity at all, they have gone by how contestants have played, how they have reacted, if they have cared about viewers opinions.
So what makes these stars celebrities think they have power to influence viewers?
Even TV channels seem to have decided that viewers would like to watch manipulation, vamps and villains, politics and games at home, jewellery bedecked women (I am not writing about any one channel but general trend). Viewers don't want to watch such serials they watch for lack of different choice! (What was that song played for Rajesh Resham in the video? 😲 They are not cute lovebirds viewers are rooting for, rather felt disgusted by)
I am curious, who on IF likes to watch tv serials and who look for entertainment online for binge watching the kind of stuff online because they don't get their kind of entertainment on tv?
On another note, I am glad Resham was eliminated, she should have much before. BB and MM blatant partiality carried her till here. Viewers don't fall for such tactics, they have clear instincts. I just hope this last week there are no dirty tricks and partiality. By giving Resham the power to carry someone to finale already Aastad has been made safe, he might have been eliminated. I think maybe this is a tactic to make Megha isolated, because if Sharmishtha gets eliminated, Aastad-Smita and Sai-Pushkar will support each other. Let us see if BB plays impartial and leaves choice to viewers.
