Not entirely sure how to approach this story. Should it be seen as a love story ,revenge story or a story of both? Well, I have no complaints so far, since I am thoroughly enjoying the show still as a love story.
What has phase 1 shown us?
If we view it as a revenge story, it was about Sidhanth making peace with the ideological differences he had with his dad, coming to terms with his death and finally, turning vindictive when he suspects his father was killed by his own best friend. When Phase 2 begins, he has the Gita in his hand. He doesn't seem to be reading it often, still...what is the most prominent message the Gita would convey to a man caught between his duty and well-being of loved ones? If Sidhanth is supposed to have a dilemma here, it is between avenging his father's death and holding on to the love of his life. Quite surprisingly, he seems to have pushed Anu away, except for wishful thinking- Tujhe bhulne ki dua karu toh miri dua mein asar naho
That would bring us to the love story.
Phase 1 showed us Sidhanth and Anu accepting and embracing their past and deciding to move on together. It ended with Anu feeling betrayed again, since Sid gives her no explanation, almost leaving her waiting at the altar.
At the beginning of Phase 2, we have Anu trying to shed her feelings quite unsuccessfully- her heart still cannot let go of Sidhanth. And quite she is still seeing startling signs...she knows the bell still means something to him. Therein lies the mystery for Anu- ls she really supposed to move on? This had happened in Phase 1 too. Sid had asked her not to bring up their past, when he himself would inadvertently bring it up. There was a lot of sincerity in his acceptance of love and reason for denying her (however irrational his reasons were), so should Anu wait around, as she cannot stop looking out for him?
What could break this cycle?
What could shatter her trust in Sidhanth forever?
Deception?
Sidhanth is living a huge lie in front of the world, including his mother. Anu is worried sick about his accident and keeps hoping he is taking good care of himself. But the truth is out there. Purva's tailor could blurt it out any moment...
When she comes to know of it ,will Anu dig deeper to know why he did it or would she be left stunned by the magnitude of deception? Would that break her trust forever? Would she also stumble up on Sid's plans to trap her father and do something about it?
To me, this is roughly what the second phase could be about. Sidhanth is busy architecting a vyuha around KK, when Anu could easily turn into a shield for her father. Sid will have a tough time sticking to his revenge plan, with Anu challenging him both as a love he cannot forget and an adversary he has to be cautious about and possibly also a casualty he may not be able to avoid.
