I totally agree with the fact that adi shouldn't have raised his hand on Zoya or even attempted but where were we when Zoya slapped Adi? and that to twice? we instantly started hating adi because he 'attempted'' to slap her but Zoya actually slapped him. The reasons were different but so were the actions. Many are saying that adi himself always used to call Pooja ''Cheater'' now when Zoya accused her of being characterless why is he being so reactive? ok let me give you a small example suppose you hate your brother, he always rats you out to your mom, spoils your plans and you literally can't stand him but when your friends call him names will you be able to tolerate it? in your subconscious mind you won't.
Same goes for Adi, yes he hates pooja like anything but he has spent half of his life with her maybe not as a lover but she was his bestfriend in his subconscious mind he still cares for her. And Zoya always hit Adi when he called her names but even Zoya called him names too did he raise his hand on her then? No. today he did it for someone else.
I am not saying Adi's action was justified because '''Jai Ho Equality'', what i am saying is we are over-reacting. Both adi and Zoya has flaws in their characters. These are the realistic characters which make us fall in love with them one day and then make us hate them the other day.Few days back we were praising Zoya for being so concerned about Adi then when she wanted to save Mahi we started to hate her. We were idolizing Adi as the perfect lover because he was ready to sacrifice his freedom for Zoya, because he kept on saying ''Zoya bhi'' to his dad and now suddenly we all are throwing the feminism stones at him.
I can name thousand characters who are very popular and just adored by fans but still they did things which were not right, on the other hand i can also list down characters which were too perfect but unrealistic. Adiya are people who make mistakes like we all do. Yes Adi was wrong, no doubt in that but what if he repents it? Instead of literally tagging him as the ''shame shame character'', Don't you guys think we should in a way applaud he CVs for creating such realistic characters with whom we can connect? because think for a while how many times did you do things which you were not proud of? So lets just cut them some slack and accept the fact that they are not the ''perfect'' hindi serial beta-bahu they are the ones with flaws. They are humans.
(saying this I DO NOT SUPPORT any kind of violence regardless of the gender but the indian audience love it so the CVS show it.)
