When Shahid embarrassed Kareena by calling her a 'senior actor'

Shahid Kapoor is now a family man with a wife and a child. Kareena Kapoor Khan, on the other hand, too, is the Begum of Pataudi. But once upon a time Shahid and Kareena were in love. After being in a relationship for few years, things grew sour, and the two broke up in 2007.

Though it's been many years since their nasty break-up, any news about the ex-couple still piques interest among their fans.

But not many know that it was during the shooting of their 2004 film Fida that Shahid and Kareena started dating. This was in fact their first film together.

While Kareena made her Bollywood debut with JP Dutta's Refugee in 2000, Shahid entered the film industry with Ken Ghosh's 2003 film Ishq Vishk. And in an old interview, Shahid referred to Kareena as a 'senior actor'.

It was during Fida that Shahid called his then girlfriend Kareena a senior actor during an interview. Shahid said, " We started working together with Ken Ghosh's film and it's an honour to work with her. She's my senior."

This left Kareena a little awkward and she added, "What rubbish!"

Shahid and Kareena dated for quite a while, till they broke up in 2007, during the shooting of Jab We Met. In fact, their co-star, Tarun Raj Arora, actually said that he could feel the awkwardness between the two on sets. However, the two never let it interfere in their professional life.

And years later, she shared the stage during the trailer launch of Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab. Though the two did not share screen space but the two have remained cordial in the last few years.
