In serial Porus we see the great bonding between Porus and his mother😊. But Alexander the great is the villain of the show, so his bonding will not be shown as he will be shown as a ruthless predator.

.There were three mothers of Alexander the great. One was obviously Olympia. His beloved biological mother. The one who inspired him to become great. The person he desired to see while on deathbed.😊 Alexander is known as mamma boy in the history because of his closeness to his mother Olympia.

Sisygambis: She was mother oF Darius whom Alexander defeated badly. After Olympia the women who influenced Alexander the most wasSisygambis. Alexander openly addressed her as Mother. She used to cook him food and feed him with her own hands much t the jealousy of macedonians. When olympia came to know about her relationship with Alexander she sent letters to Alexander asking him to stay away from her but Alexander refused to leave the old lady Sisygambis. She married her granddaughter Barsine to Alexander. On hearing of the death of Alexander, Sisygambis had herself sealed into her rooms and she refused to eat. She is said to have died of grief and starvation four days late.

Ada of Caria: Ada of Caria was the second adoptive mother of Alexander. She was living in Exile because her brother had capture her kingdom Halicarnassus. After taking her as his mother Alexander not only defeated her brother but also made Ada the queen of Halicarnassus.

Okay!! First of all Alexander The Great isn't the villain of the show.He is the parallel lead and antihero.Neither is he shown as a ruthless predator😛
It's impossible to cover all the aspects of his life but the makers have done their best to show the people closest to him.

Thank you so much for sharing this information about his other two mothers along with Olympias.😃

Thanks for sharing. He seems really good man. He was so humble to women. Hope cvs show this side of alex too. He is not villain. He is second lead. And just because of his desire to win the whole world , he was cruel with the kings he fought. But he respected women.

Sisygambis Alexander bonding was really very emotional one. He married Barsine for her even though he was deep in love with his wife Roxanne. Also, After her son Darius was murdered by Bessus, Alexander promised her to take revenge and he did by executing Bessus at the very same place where he had killed Darius

Alexander the Great is a historical character. When he was born, what was he, who raised him or what he did is written in history books with lots of witnesses who knew about him.
Porus however wasn't a powerful king of India. Infact he is famous because of Alexander. The man who defeated everyone got shocked seeing the young man of India named Puru a prince of a very small kingdom. Puru had absolutely nothing to fight against the great Alexander. He only had his patriotism , a will to protect his land from outsiders and save his ppl. This actually touched Alexander.
In his whole life he was guided by his strange mom Olympia, who taught him how to be greedy, cruel and snatch everything from everyone and love none, respect zero when it comes to swarth. When he met the Puru ...he couldn't believe that there can be someone like Puru.
Puru was a great man, a man with big heart and person who respected other's freedom.
He was a kind of mentor for Alexander. As far as I know Alexander was never very respectful to woman. History says he slayed and disrespected woman. He refused to marry Daraius's daughter and kept her as slave. He forced his men to marry women from other religion/race and give birth to mixed kids. So that he can destroy the nation and their mentality and snatch their sense of freedom forever. This crime was not great. Those women were forced to marry macedonians... At home he always dishonored all his wives. He had no lover no love child. But yes...after he met Puru he was changed.
We don't know much about Puru's mom. Because Puru was not a great hero...as this man never went to snatch other's freedom just because he is a great warrior. So basically I guess they will show this in this serial ...that how Puru made a violent , greedy and selfish men in to a sober man. As we know after this a lot of improvement happened in Alex's life. 😳 😆
May be that time he got those mothers...although I only heard of their names , that's it. Rest was just stories, fairy tales made to make the brutal Alex in to a human.
A man who snatches happiness and independence of other...can't respect woman or mothers. Most probably those were just tales written to glorify and justify the brutality of Alex. 😉 😆

your history is not right first of all Porus wasn't young man. He was already 20 years elder than Alexander...second Alexander is called great for a reason...he is known for great treatment of women. Search for Ada of Cairo or sissygamis you will come to know ... no he didn't treat Barsine as his slave but as his wife...Darius mother and daughter mourned his death...Darius mother died mourning...
Third Porus wasn't a small king...He had three hundred elephants and his army was double of Alexander's ...who had only Macedonian with him.

He forced his soldiers to marry other women !! He was huge admirer of Persian culture...to bring Hellenistic and Persian culture together he married Persian woman didn't rape them...only bad thing he is accused of is burning of Persepolis in drunken state which he regretted later and wept over it...

1. Roxane was the daughter of Bactrian nobleman called Oxyartes. Daughter of Darius III was Stateira II.
Alexander at first asked Darius to surrender and a token of his defeat give Stateira as a wife to Alexander. Darius however refused it. Later when Daraius was about to be defeated by Alexander he offered Stateira to Alexander. Alexander now refused her. After the death of Darius III he kept Stateira as slave for a long time. He married Roxane who was from a lower class( according to that time) and made her the queen. To insult Stateira he made her the slave of Queen Roxane.

2.'The great' title is absolutely not given to the kings/queens who had some contribution for "woman well fair".
In fact "The Great " title was first used by a Persian king called "Cyrus the great". It is almost like "Almighty". DaraiusI -III used to known as the "Almighty or God". As per recent discovery they seemed to be the predecessor of the Pharaon's of Egypt, who migrated to Persia. Darius I, II and III all were known as "The Great" or "The almighty".
Akber the Great was also known as "The great" , he buried great dancer "Anarkoli" alive because she had an affair with his son Salim( Jahangir).
Catherine the Great was known more as a woman who had men harem than doing great to people. Peter the Great( Catherine's hubby and Queen Elizabeth's successor) was also not a very great king. This was just a title to tell the world "I am the Lord/God".
When Alexander conquered Persia he thought he is the new "lord of the world" more like new Pharaon and he did what the Persians did. He built his statue and whatever kingdom he conquered and named cities after cities according to his name "Alexander". So there are many places which used to call as "Alexandria"

3.Puru wasn't the last kingdom he tried to conquer in India. It says in history that he tried to conquer Magadha too. But Magadha had more than 1lac 50 thousand soldiers only. So 300 elephant is a very silly number. At that time Kings had millions of elephants etc. It says during the time of Buddha( 200 years before Alexander) Magadha king Ajatasatru's father Bimbisar was about to sacrifice( yagya) 9000 goats to get a son. So you can imagine how many elephants they had.

4. When Alexander left India it says he destroyed every village , every kingdom he found on his way. Near Samarkhand a city was there, he+his soldiers brutally murdered everyone there...from children to old men/women. Then he burned down that city.

5. To insult Darius he didn't only made her grand daughter a slave but also made her cook his meal like a slave. Or else why a queen will do such thing to a man who actually ruined her dignity and honor? Love for Alexander? Olympia burned Cleopatra( Olympia ki sautan) and her 8yr old daughter alive after the death of Phillip. Alexander was the son of that Olympia.

6. Persians were goat eaters and they refused to eat beef. Where Aryans were beef eaters and they forced Persians to eat beef. According to the history of cooking beef wasn't used before Alexander introduced that in Persia. Mixing up culture or destroying a culture?

If Osama was alive and defeated America, I guess some will give him "Nobel Prize in peace " too. 😆
