Since there are a lot of viewpoints on the deeds of characters, let's have a look at each one of them. So basically, I'm here to project that everybody is right in the frame of their mindsets š
1. Puru :
The man of principles, Puru has become exceptionally influenced in a negative way about Bamni. With such a bad prejudiced that has been developed slowly within him by :
- first seeing the slaves being sold
- Farsis openly troubling Indians
- Anusuya being tortured
So now even if someone tells him that Bamni had no major fault, the mindset has been locked and it'll take something drastic to change it. Let's not forget he's a Dasyu, he's been trained without deshbhakti or living for others.
And when he brought Ripudaman to Dasyulok, he might have thought that why to perform the last rites of his honourable father at a place where injustice is met to everyone. Besides, his rigid mentality doesn't allow him to do anything in PR.
2. Bamni :
The good at heart King (save once), is the perfect example of how having a clean heart isn't enough to be an able ruler. I feel his problem is, he is so emotional & kind that he often cannot see what kaands others are doing. Example - Since Darius has given him profit, he's unable to see that he is also bringing harm. He needs to open his mind a bit, stop being so good and vulnerable and look through a criminal's perspective.
Note - Bamni hasn't formed an opinion of Puru yet, so I hope he doesn't do anything wrong in his eyes.
3. Anusuya :
The one who can ably forsee, the one with a commendable willpower, I think her fate hasn't favoured her. It's sad to see that she's constantly being put to test by destiny, whether it was facing a mistrust, deprived of her Son and lastly, seeing her Arya & son at loggerheads. Still, she is very much the same through all times, strong and optimistic yet alert and sharp. The problem here is she is so righteous that she too, cannot plot or think like Darius. She has a very straightforward approach to things which often results in her being misunderstood.
4. Pritha / Hasti :
My heart goes out for them today, and I won't object her anger and frustration today. What she said was absolutely right, they got nothing in return for everything they did. Ripudaman couldn't be a good husband. He was only a father and what did he get in return? Death.
There's no denying here that he is dead indirectly due to Puru from their POV. Their life changed entirely ever since Puru entered their lives. I can see bleak chances of Hasti turning positive from here. It'll take something huge to alter his thinking.
Phew, so no one's completely right or completely wrong (except Darius and that too in our POV)š
Everybody has their faults and plus points so and that's what makes them HUMAN.
