Chapter 7
Heer realized that human could feel various emotions, which seemed impossible before. For the last three years, Geet was a friend, a sister, a savior for her. In Heer's lonely life, Geet was a great friend of her. Heer thought that, she would never feel anything negative about Geet ever in her life.
However, life is unpredictable and sometimes it took unexpected turn. Life could test one's loyalty and priority in life in various circumstances. Humans as the complex living being always had multiple identity. Each identity had its own priority and sometimes a human's one identity could easily overpower other identity.
Nowadays Heer's identity as wife and as lover of Prem Juneja overpowered her identity of being friend with Geet. That was the reason why Heer was feeling pure resentment towards Geet. She just could not tolerate Geet's effort to become closer to Prem. In Heer mind, it was a direct attack to her very existence.
However, Heer also knew she could not just claim Prem as hers only now. In last three years, she tried everything to forget the name; she even kept Chahat away from Prem as she did not want to face Prem ever in life. She did not give him divorce officially so in paper she was still his wife. She had exclusive right over Prem in the eye of law. Nevertheless, relationship could not continue only from legal point of view.
In last three years, Heer hated or at least tried to hate the name of Prem Juneja. Her bitterness was extreme towards Prem. Now, Heer after knowing that, Prem innocence sometimes thought over her past hatred towards Prem. Heer realized that, in past three years she hated Prem so much because she loved him so much before.
When love turned into hate, it could take an extreme form. Heer was a forgiving person. Heer had sympathy towards everyone. She easily forgave DJ chachi even though she created many problems in her life. She forgave Lalit and Veera.
Even after coming to know about Ashlesha's identity, Heer would still not wish any physical harm to Ash. Nevertheless, for Prem she was unforgiving, yes a wife should break the relationship with her husband after coming to know husband cheating. However, no person had any moral right to keep a daughter away from her father. A father is a father even he was flawed.
Heer now realized that, why she reacted that way. Yes, Heer forgave her other relatives but they were not Prem. Prem was not just a lover and a husband for her; he was a part of her. Prem Juneja was the part of her own existence. He was the male version of her and she was the female version of him, they were the two sides of the single coin. That was the reason why she reacted that way when she discovered Ash in their bedroom.
Heer could not accept the fact that a part of her betrayed her. Prem's supposed betrayal shacked her to the core three years ago and therefore she behaved that way in last three years as part of defense mechanism.
Heer did not know what to do now. First, Prem was denying his own identity and telling her that he was not Prem Juneja but Anupam Banerjee. Yes, Heer heard from Preet that the policemen retrieve supposed dead body of Prem from the river, but she later came to know that, Prem's supposed dead body mysteriously disappeared from the hospital.
Heer also remembered that, how Prem once took the identity of Gaurav Sharma to fool her, so Heer did not ready to accept him as Anupam Banerjee. However, Heer also knew Prem and she realized that, Prem would not accept his identity of Prem Juneja easily.
The second problem was Heer did not know how to reestablish her ties with Prem even she after she could make Prem to confess his identity in future. She did not know whether Prem still want to be with her, and there was Chahat factor. A lover or a husband Prem might be keen to reestablish ties with her but, the father identity of Prem might be still very much angry with her. Therefore, Heer knew it would be very complex situation in the future.
The third problem Heer face was the Geet's sudden great interest in Prem. Geet's mother was trying very hard to arrange marriage of Geet, however Geet told her mother that, she would choose her life partner by herself. Geet was very selective about her supposed ideal man, therefore in last three years there were no man who could impress her.
However, suddenly Geet told her, she found her ideal match. Heer was obviously happy when she first heard that, her friend search for the ideal man was over. However, when Heer realized the real identity of the prince charming of Geet's dream she obviously did not like it at all.
Heer remembered the timeline when she suddenly woke up in a hospital after travelling with Geet in the plane.
Flashback:
Heer head was hurting like hell when she found herself in a hospital bed. She was obviously surprised and tried to remember what happened in the plane, she could remember that, while in the plane she and Geet took orange juice from the air hostess and after that she felt dizzy and suddenly her eyes got closed by itself.
Heer somewhat felt relieved when she saw Geet coming near to her bed. Seeing her best friend's face was very much necessary to clam her nerve.
"Geet maine ye hospital mein kaise aya, kya huI thi, Chahat kaha hein? Heer asked her best friend.
"Heer Heer shan't ho jao, abhi tumhari sharir durbol hein, haa kutch problem hui thi, wo jab tum ghar jaonge tab batungi, aur Chahat mummy ke phas hein." Geet replied to her.
Heer certainly wanted to know everything but after knowing that, her child was ok she could wait to know rest of the things.
"Geet, tumhari business deal ka kya hui, oh my god meri wajah se tumhe koi lukshan to nahi hui? Heer again asked her in a worried voice.
"Heer, tumhare agaye ek do business deal koi badi baat nahi, aur jo hua us mein tumhari kya galti hein, har baat ke liye khud ko kosna band karo Heer, aur meri koi jyda lokshan nahi hui, kyunki meine ek naya accha potential business partner ke khoj shayed paa liya." Geet told her.
Heer could notice look the dreamy loom in her friend's face when she was mentioning about the potential business partner for her.
"Mujhe to lagti hein tum sirf business partner hi nahi paya aur bhi kuch paya. Lagti hein shayed hamari Geet ko akhir kar ek ladka impress kar hi diya apni andaz se. Jaldi batao kya naam hein uska?" Heer asked her.
"Anupam Banerjee" Geet told the name to her.
"Dekho dekho kitna sharma rahi meri saheli, to ek bengali babu ne tumhari dil mein dastak de diya, bolo kab mila o gey ujse."Heer remarked.
" Kutch jyda waqt tak to mein usse mili nahi, shayed kutch ghante hi honge, lekin mein tumse jhoot nahi balungi wo already meri dil mein asar kar rahi aye sab choro ghar mein choli uha mein tumhe Anupam aur plane mein ghati huibhadsa ke bare mein puri tadkie se batungi, doctor shayed tumhari discharge paper leke abhi aati honga." Geet assured her friend.
After getting discharge from hospital Heer went to reception and see Geet's mother. Geet's mother quickly embraced her after seeing her.
"Kaise ho puttar, bhagwan ka lakh lakh shukar hein ki tumhe aur Geet ko kutch nahi hua. Mein kitni bar Geet ko kaha ekli tum do ladki ja rahe ho, kutch to caution hona chahiye. Bhagwan bhala kare Anupam Banerjee ka, jo fristhe ke tara uss plane mein maujood tha aur tum dono ko rescue kiya. Bada accha ladka tha wo, iss jamane mein bhi acchr insan hein ye usko dekkar mujhe maloom hua. Tumhe hospital tak bhi Geet ke saat wo chor aya. Kutch waqt pahele bhi wo yaha tha, par uska ek jaroori call aa gayi aur use jana pada." Geet's mother informed her.
Heer felt very impressed about Anupam Banerjee. She was feeling very curious to know that kindhearted person who already impressed her best friend. However, Heer did not get enough time to think as she felt physically weak and therefore they left for the home by Geet's car.
Geet's family owned a small home in Mumbai, it was actually bought by Geet's late father, Geet did not wanted to stay there at first and wanted to stay in some hotel but after the plane incident Geet's mother wanted to know no excuse and decided that, they would stay in the house.
Heer did not realize how much tired she was, and therefore she did not thought she would fell in sleep as soon as they reached into the home.
It was already night when Heer woke up from the sleep. Heer went to Geet's room after being freshened.
She was amused when she heared Geet was singing along with the song, which was playing in her android phone.
"Dilbar Dilbar"
"Kaun hein ye dilbar Geet, kahi yein Anupam Banerjee to nahi?" Heer asked her in an amused voice.
"Aao Heer, aab kaiss lag rahi hain tumhe?" Geet asked her.
"Mein to thik ho, tum topic change maat karo, aur batao mukhe plane ki hadse ki bare mein aur tumhari naya dilbar Anupam Banerjee ki bare mein bhi." Heer was determined to know the whole thing so she was not ready to give Geet any escape route.
"Tum bhi na Heer bhaut jyda ziddi hein, accha thick hein mein tumhe batati hu hadse ki bare mein. Tum to janti ho hum dono air histess ki haat se juice pine ki baad hosh kho diya. Iss ke karib ek ghante ki baad mein jab uthi tab dekhi plane ki baki jyatri mujhe care kar rahi hein, meine dekhi tum tab bhi behoosh thi. Meine ek uncle se poccha kya hua. Unhone bataya ki hume uss air hostess ne organge juice pila kar behoosh kar diya, aur unhone ye bhi bataya ki wo tumhe kadi dose diya hein, iss liye tum abhi tak behoosh ho.
Humare saat aur jyda boora ho sakti thi, agar hamari pichli seat mein Anupam nahi hua to, ussne pahele hume pahele behoosh halat mein identify kiya aur uske baad jab ussne uss airhostess ko benaqab kiya, aur jab uss fake airhostness ne weapon bahar kadi tab usne apne jaan par khelkar usse disarmed kiya. Uske baad hamari liye doctor ki intezam kiya, Chahat ka kheyal rkha.
Ye sab sunne ke baad to mein alreday usse fida ho gayi thi, itna kind hearted, itna intelligent, itna brave, itna mature aur clam insan ke upar kisi bhi ladki impress hogi. Mein bhi hua jab shuni wo young hein lekin usse jab mein paheli bar dekhi tab kutch shock hua. Mujhe lagta hein ki unki umar lagbog hamari jaisa hein 25-26. Lekin Heer main tumhe bata nahi sakti usse paheli bar dekkar meri dil mein kya halchal hui.
Jab mein usse dekha tab mein yahi soacha koi bhi man itna handsome kaise ho sakte hein, uske dark hair, chocolate brown eyes, handsome sharp face mano koi bollywood ka hero hein. Jab wo meri taraf aa raha tha tab wo shirt pehana tha par phir bhi ye baat saaf dikh rahi thi ki wo well built hein.
Kisi bhi aadmi itna perfect kaise ho sakta hein, wo brave hein, intelligent hein, kind hein, responsible hein, handsome aur hot bhi hein.
Jab usne mujhe poocha main kaisa hun tab to mano meri shase tej ho gayi thi, ek alag hi koshish hein uski awaj mein.
Usne plane se namne ki baad bhi meri madat kiya tumhe hospital mein bharti karya, uss faje airhostess ki khilaf case darj kiya. Chahat ka kheyal bhi usne rakha bola uska ek bhanja hein to wo janta hein kaise chote bacche ka kheyal rakha jata hein. Saach mein aaj ke din mein Anupam jaise insan lakho mein ek hein. " Geet told Heer in a dreamy voice.
Heer found that her respect for that Anupam Banerjee increased several folds. That Anupam Banerjee was reminding her about the Prem. For few seconds Heer became sad when she started to remember Prem but she controlled herself as she did not want to show her sadness to her best friend.
"Accha tumhari muh se uski itni tarif shunne ke baad to mein bhi impress ho gayi, mein bhaut curious feel kar rahi hu wo kaisa dekta hein ye soach ke." Heer commented.
"Dekhna tum bhi impress ho jaoge uski chere dikkar, kisi bollywood hero se kam nahi hein wo." Geet remarked.
"Geet, bollywood hero ki bhaut sari dewani hote hein, iss Anupam Banerjee ke bare tumne jo bataya isse lagta hein tumhe compete karni hogi bhaut sari ladkio ke saat iss ki dil jitne ke liye." Heer remarked.
"Main ye janti ho Heer. Lekin Heer tum janti ho, meri competitiveness ki bare mein. I will win my man at the end. Aur ha tumne uska photo dekne chaha tha na, wo jab dusre dik dekh raha tha, tab mein chupke se uska ek photo nikal liya tha." Geet told her.
"Geet, Geet" Geet's mother called her.
"Maa dak rahi hein, mujhe ab jana hoga, ye lo phone aur iss folder mein uske photo hein" Geet left the room after hearing her mother's call.
"Pagal ladki, aacha mein bhi to deku kisko dekkar meri saheli itni dewani ho rahi hein?" Heer opened Geet's mobile phone's folder after smiling her face.
She was curious to know about Anupam Banerjee and when she saw the photo her curiousness got replaced by her astonishment only one word uttered from her mouth "Prem!"
