Fresh off the success of Bareilly Ki Barfi, Kriti
Sanon is all geared up to be paired opposite
Punjabi heartthrob Diljit Dosanjh for the first
time in Dinesh Vijan's Arjun Patiala.
According to a leading daily, the movie,
which is a slice-of-life comedy is about the
height difference between a couple. The fact
that the woman is taller than the man in the
relationship will for the crux of the movie
with the element of humour in it.
While Kriti's character is a journalist, Diljit
plays a small-town guy from Punjab. The
story revolves around their love story.
Kriti worked with Vijan in his directorial
debut Raabta opposite Sushant Singh
Rajput. As the actress-filmmaker duo share a
great camaraderie, Kriti immediately said yes
to the script when she was offered Arjun
Patiala.
Meanwhile, in an interview with a leading
news agency, Kriti spoke about Arjun Patiala
and said, "Arjun Patiala - Larger Than Life is
a little in the comedy space, and will make
you smile, laugh and crack up. I am excited
because I am working with Diljit for the first
time and he is a fabulous actor."
Earlier, In an interview with a leading daily,
Kriti spoke about how she would try her
hand at different genres rather than just
stick to one. "I would never want to restrict
myself in one genre. As an actor, I am still
learning on the job. I have never done
theatre or acted before; I am trying to prove
myself and better myself with every film
[that I do]. At least, that's my motive," Kriti
revealed.
The actress continued, "There might be
something really interesting about a
character, which you'd love to play. So, I just
go with it without thinking, I have already
done a happy character, so I can't do that
again.' I don't think you can bracket in such
a way."
