Am back with Fine print series as we race to the finale..

--------------------------------
Long Post Alert!

Gawd - what did I just watch..?? Was it a bad acting audition, daily soap, or comedy hour?? This episode will definitely go down the history of BB as one of the most bizzare or the most strategic.. I cannot decide if I should just continue laughing or salute BB for what may just be a masterstroke in favour of Vikas..

Ok - I may just be the lone wolf here, but I actually felt Monday episode was VERY anti Shilpa..I am amazed by the flooding of anti Hina and Vikas posts and claims of how they were put in place by the journalists in favour of Shilpa.. From where I stand, I feel it was anything but.. Let me share my perspective..

Shilpa, still smarting from zillat ke ladoo from WKW, viciously refused to cook instead of informing everyone like a mature adult that they should hand cooking chore to someone else. Instead, she was seen sunao-ing (just as Hina claimed) to Akash and Vikas at the pretext of talking to Puneesh. Mother India no more?

Hina, the smart cat she can be at times, inquired innocently and casually ki Khane mein aaj kya bana hai, outing Shilpa's nasty side who caustically told Hina to have Vikas or Akash feed her just as they have been cooking for themselves for sometime (interesting bit of info BTW). Without getting into kitchen politics that followed on who made and ate what, which was quite funny incidentally, - few things stood out for me worth a mention:

  1. Everyone knew that it was a forced fight - including Puneesh who was most amused by going ons..
  2. Shilpa lied outright (again) when she tried to jatao/sunao Hina (again) on what she ate was made by her, till Vikas corrected her politely which only added to her ire that she had been caught in her own lies (just like in WKW).. .
  3. On being questioned politely by Vikas - why she felt so confident that he was leaving, her retort was a nasty - 'Toh arti utaron tumhari' and 'Toh chhapal maro mere muh pe' .. What trash talk was that?? Calling them 'Namak haram' ? What?? I do get the sense that Shilpa is somewhat frustrated that she is unable to get under his skin to extract similar reactions she could before.. Patte khul gaye hain ab!
  4. Egging Hina that she should now cry inside but doing that herself after she realized the impact may not have been what she had expected from that forced fight.
  5. She is constantly contradicting herself when she says that 'koi toh badappan dikhao', 'kisi ke liye kuch bina expectation ke karo' - but at the first sign of disagreement , her claws come out.. Where was her baddapan when she relentlessly attacked Vikas on self confessed revenge.. Even after they agreed on a truce, why out of the blue she brought back the same topic in Mount BB task after almost 2 months..
  6. It is on record that she has spoken on the 'boys will be boys' mentality for both for Akash and Puneesh. Wasn't she the one who claimed Akash is VERY respectful to women and when he abuses Hina and Sapna 'they deserve it'? Its come a full circle - eh?
I would typically never comment on anyone's crying as fake as one does not know what affects who (except for the comedic Thank you Salman) But seeing Shilps's monologue multiple times in one episode was quite out of character from what we have seen of her these past 3 months.. So, I take it with a grain of salt but that shot of look at my hands was a classic! It would have worked beautifully, had it not been at this stage when we and HM know the characters so well.. For eg: it is now acknowledged by HM that Hina is genuinely a bhullakad and is not for pretense..

Press Conference: Even in the heavily edited version of the event, I actually thought Hina and Vikas handled it really well and were able to rubbish most of Shilpa's claims one by one very eloquently and methodically. After looking at the uncut version on Voot, the star of the conference def. was Vikas who handled it like a pro, with wit and with humour.. Hina was a close second.. She made her points clearly without getting rattled or backing off.. I do wish though, she lightens up a bit which will only help her..

It may look like Shilpa was favoured by the press, but she did not come out looking good IMO which actually led to the third monologue of the day.. The person who looked the worst according to me was Puneesh who was called a snake straight on the face and how he has used people to rise. Targeting Hina for her comment on him and Bandagi, even calling her a mohalle ki aunty seemed like a last ditch attempt to unsettle her which did not work .Were PunGi not cautioned by Salman to be careful of what they are doing on National TV and how it shows on their families other than audience..How shameful is that? By same logic, is Salman now Mohalle Ka Uncle? It ended up being more comic than a burn.

Overall - I felt, especially after the WKW that the channel is unmasking other facets of Shilpa slowly after propping her all season and it is her downfall week...That faint feeling I had that Shilpa may not win afterall is getting somewhat stronger.. .

Right now it is 'ADVANTAGE VIKAS: ! Lets see how the rest of the week unfolds..

Anyone who is sensible can see through the open biasedness of the channel and the fakeness and deviousness of Shilpa...They won't fall into her trap of fake tears and imaginary revenge saga...

Good post. This thought had occurred to me but was lazy to write a post. I don't mind if vikas hina or for the matter aakash wins. But not the other two.

Unfortunately ppl have already fallen and how much ever I don't wish it to happen, she will win. It's our country india, we are too emotional Nd sentimental towards ppl who are poor, out of job, victimized (though we don't know truth), medically sick. Shilpa may not fall in all these categories but some Yes.

Let's wait till the very end...

Though it's clear she's the fixed winner by the channel, I'm still hoping for a turn around in their decision based on public opinion. What's wrong in wishing for something positive...

I think it all depends on what happens the rest of this week. If things turn into a huge uproar the way it did in the last week with Gauhar and Tanisha, kuch bhi ho sakta hai..

It's always fascinating to me that we can all watch the same "reality"show and have different perceptions of the "reality"that we are being shown.

As a Shilpa fan,I prefer feisty ladaki Shilpa to Shilpa Nirupa Roy ,so I quite enjoyed her telling them to eff off.

The press conference I thought was a hatchet job on Hina and as I watched tomorrow sneak peek, it's kinda obvious Hina's slowly being sidelined to pave the way for a Shilpa vs Vikas finale.

It's been advantage Vikas since the day he decided to do the show as evidenced during the press conference. He had all the time to answer questions on Hina's and Shilpa's behalf because he was hardly questioned on any of his objectionable behaviour.

The channel may try their best to "unmask"Shilpa but if the ultimate judgement is in the hands of the voting junta,it's the channel that may just end up being unmasked.
