Well, just to put it succinctly, I have no issue with Shilpa forgiving Akash. I have issue when she goes on to declare him as worth top 3 contender on WKW and top 1 on Monday's episode, the same Akash who kissed her forcibly, was making her uncomfortable with his touch. We all made a hue and cry about this how it's a borderline case of sexual harassment and vehemently defended Shilpa on victim shaming. So, in light of all these if she names him worthy enough to be in top 3 allegedly to satisfy a host, or panel of family on WKW, me as a viewer feels that her action doesn't subscribe to minimum ethical or moral standards which she needs to adhere to by not naming such players whose action reeks of perversion and creepiness to which she has been a victim. This action is as dirty as it gets in my opinion and is difficult to reconcile in my opinion, which leads me to say that she played a false victim by using pervert/creep Akash to best suit her game play.
Monday's Episode: Puneesh and Luv were involved in a discussion in uncut video wherein Akash had told clearly that he is not with Shilpa and his mom was right in bashing and questioning her on WKW. Puneesh advised him not to go after Shilpa to which he agreed but did say that he will respond. Shilpa knew that Akash is flipping on her, it's clear from another Voot video wherein she is seen talking to Puneesh that Akash flipped on her near dining table.
In light of this, why did Shilpa choose Akash as deserving top 3 on WKW and Top 1 on monday's episode when she has been at receiving end of his pervert, creepy behaviour and abuses relating to age-shaming, mocking her profession,status, ethics and value system.
Defense 1: Hina and Vikas also agreed to make him No 1.
Her situation is different from Hina or Vikas, because it is her who has suffered at hand of Akash, both physically, emotionally and I would say harassment of sexual nature too. Akash has tried forcibly kissing her that she had to go to other HM's to make him stop. So, she knows him way too better than other contestants for sure. So agreement on part of Hina and Vikas to give No1 spot to Akash is no defense for Shilpa's sense of judgement. Also, prior to their agreement she had already bestowed Akash as deserving top 3 bypassing likes of Luv, Hina, Vikas on WKW.
In light of all these, who bestows No1 to a contestant like Akash. Is this what you are showing to viewers, that all misdemeanours could be forgiven just for a game? Importantly, how come after announcement of this fake nomination, she remembers to talk all the wrong things did Akash's mom say? Just to rile up a loud mouth pervert and play victim drama? So, when she agrees to make him top 3 based on other's suggestion completely bypassing her ethical or moral standards to make such a creep as TOP 3, well this is dirty play for me.
Defense 2:Akash would've made her life miserrable
Attributing this decision of her to fear of repercussions from Akash is what I say obfuscation of highest order when there is nothing left to defend with. On the Monday's episode, again she was the one who was running behind Akash using his mom to invoke a reaction and play her victim drama. This continued in Tuesday's episode wherein she instigated Hina against Akash, again went all the way from kitchen to Hina to give a sarcastic comment involving her mom.
Victim Drama: She knew that Akash has already flipped on her,means his impending behaviour was known to her, firstly she tried to pacify him by bestowing top slot to him but when it didn't bring Akash to her fold, she riled him up to play victim once again, saying I made him No1 and look how he is behaving with me. On the Monday's episode, again she was the one who was running behind Akash using his mom to invoke a reaction and play her victim drama. False victimhood is not related to one incident as such, it's when one let's go of his/her moral/ethical standards just for the game, playing victim at one instance and going on to announce him as TOP 3 later, this is false victimhood. Bhai agar maaf kar diya to baar us topic to kyun laana how he continuously tortured you and blah blah, decide karlo, maaf kiya, kitna maaf kiya, 10%, 59%, 100%. Is it just forgiving or forgiving and forgetting?
Defense 3:If she had been harping about his creepy/pervy behavior, I'd say she's milking it. She asked him to stop it and that ended that.
There are always two sides of the same coin, use subtle game play which helps in long run to use it conveniently when it's needed, like a perfect politician who keeps criminal investigation against an opponent dangling to use it as and when required. Once exhausted, it loses it's play. Had she gone hammer and tongue against Akash, relationship would have broken irrevocably, she didn't because she wanted to use him for her game, love-hate-friendship any relationship, she is using the same old card of his behaviour on Tuesday episode.
