Karva Chauth OS
Keeping up with the ongoing track of Karan teasing Preeta about the proposals she has received for marriage. Karan leaves with Sameera and leaves a fuming Preeta staring at the photos all over again. She looks at Rohan's photo and wonders whether they would like a dark mouse and a white horse? She thinks if he used to like Malishka, then he would be like Karan, and she can't stand any guy who is like Karan. Shrishti enters the room and finds her lost in Rohan's photo.
Shrishti: Di, apko pasand hai?
Preeta is thinking about Karan.
Preeta: Nahi, mujhe who bilkul bhi nahi pasand hai!
Shrishti: Toh phir aap uske photo ko lekar khoye khoye kyun lag rahe ho?
Preeta: Kya?
Shrishti takes Rohan's photo away, trying to tease Preeta.
Shrishti: Arre, main bhi to dehku ke aapko Rohan jiju kyun pasand aye... Akhir is photo main aisa kya hai?
Preeta: Woh, main us Rohan ke baar main nahi soch rahi thi...
Shrishti: Kya? Toh fir aap kis ke baare main soch rahe the Di?
Preeta: Kuch nahi, jaane de.
Shrishti: Arre, aise kaise jaane de, mujhe pata hai... Aap kiske baare main soch rahe the...
Preeta: Achcha, tujhe bada pata hai!
Shrishti: Aap Karan sir ke baare main soch rahe the na?
Preeta: Ha tujhe kaise... Mera matlab hai, nahi, main kyun uske baare main sochu? Kitna annoying hai woh! Man karta hai ki uska muh pakad ke staple kar du, taaki kuch bol hi na paye!
Shrishti: Not fair Di, aap bhi to Karan sir ko kya kuch nahi sunate ho! Who kitne achche hai!
Preeta: Achcha, itna achcha hai to tu ghum na uske aage piche, maine kaha roka hai?
Shrishti: Sure Di? Aap jealous nahi hoge?
Preeta: Shrishti... maarungi!
Preeta rolls her eyes, thinks that Shrishti is mad, as there is nothing between them, so why would she feel jealous of Karan being close with a girl. He is a player anyway. But then she remembers the time when he told her that her impression of him was that of a bad boy, but that he knew how to respect girls. She recollects all the times when she's misinterpreted his intentions with her, and each time he's just been a young, playful lad with a good heart. She smiles and thinks he's just trying to provoke her all the time and that she's giving him what he wants by reacting to his jokes. Her smile fades and she says to herself that she will not react to anything he says, even if he laughs at her. She wants to see how long he can keep joking and tease her. He will have to stop eventually if he doesn't get any reaction from her.
Meanwhile Karan is thinking about Preeta in his house. He keeps tossing his cricket ball between his hands, and wonders why he didn't like Preeta's arm touching Sameer's? He then hears Preeta's voice telling him that he is jealous. He shakes off his thoughts and thinks why he will be jealous? Preeta can see whoever she likes, and get married to whoever she likes. With her gone, his life will be back to fun, playful, and stress free, just like how it used to be before he met her. But then he says to himself who will he tease if she is gone? And who will fight with him? Everyone is always finding ways to please him, everyone but her!
Its morning the next day, Preeta is told by her Mom to do the Karva Chauth as it's a good omen. Shrishti tries to argue that she isn't even married, she's not even found a guy yet. So how can she fast? Sarla makes her understand that she used to do it when her parents started to look for boys for her. Dadi remembers just before they were getting married, Sarla did Karva chauth and how difficult she found to stay off food, but she followed tradition and only broke the fast after seeing the moon. Shrishti asks how will Preeta break the fast, who's face will she see? Her Mom says it's not important to see the person's face, the feeling of sacrificing food for your loved one is of more value. She says God will see her dedication and bless her with a good husband. Shrishti says she doesn't believe in all this but Preeta interrupts her and tells Sarla if she wants her to do it, she will. Sarla is happy and asks her to help her with food preparation for the boy's parents. Shrishti asks Preeta if she won't go to Luthra house today, and she tells them Rakhi Aunty and Dadi will be going to Rakhi Aunty's house to celebrate Karva Chauth. So they will be busy the whole day.
Karan meanwhile thinks why Preeta hasn't come today. And he realizes the boy is coming to see her today and so she probably won't come. But then he thinks that chusa hua aam is not going to be there the whole day, then why didn't she come? He goes to the kitchen to see where his Mom is.
He spots Dadi and Rakhi in the kitchen packing stuff for Karva Chauth celebrations, and Karan interrupts them.
Karan: Who, Dadi... apka pair kaise hai?
Dadi: Ab Preeta aa gayi hai na putar, ab achcha hai!
Dadi smiles and Karan stutters.
Karan: Achcha, very good. Toh aaj Preeta...
Rakhi: Arre nahi putar, aaj Preeta nahi ayegi. Hum ja rahe hai na, toh phir yahan aa kar kya karegi who!
Karan: Kya? Woh nahi ayegi?
Dadi: Tujhe usse kuch kaam tha? Phone kar ke bula le!
Karan: Ha Dadi, achcha idea hai!
Dadi: Lekin bata to kya kaam hai?
Karan: Kuch nahi Dadi...
Karan excitedly hops out of the kitchen and dials Preeta's number.
