Bhootu review: The little friendly ghost of the show will remind you of Casper
Bhootu, a new comedy-drama series premiered on Monday on Zee TV. The show revolves around a 5-year-old girl named Pihu (Arshiya Mukherjee), who dies in a fire accident and becomes a ghost.
Little Pihu is unaware of the fact that she is now a ghost and no one can see her. She is still hanging around her house in hope of her mother's return. The little girl shares an adorable bond with her mother Anindita (played by Akanksha Chamola) and misses her very much. Akanksha looks beautiful in Bengali avatar and is quite convincing as Pihu's mother.
Pihu's naughtiness will remind of Casper, the friendly ghost. She looks aww-dorable in an oversized shirt and would make you yearn for a friendly ghost like her.
The show is a remake of a Bengali TV series of the same name, where Arshiya played the protagonist.
Arshiya is amazing as the naughty ghost and can make anyone fall for her cuteness.
Bhootu will take you back to your childhood days, as Pihu, like any 5-year-old likes to dress up, make stories and gorge on sweets.
Bhootu gives you a break from the boring kitchen politics, love-hate stories, and over-the-top supernatural shows currently airing on television.
