Pehredaar Piya Ki's abrupt closure might be the talk of the town right now, but the latest news reports suggest that picture abhi baaki hai.

The controversial show by Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions will get a fresh lease of life soon, as the makers are planning a sequel of Pehredaar Piya Ki sans the 9-year-old kid aka Afaan Khan.

We hear that Pehredaar Piya Ki's post leap story will be shown in the sequel of the show, that's set to air soon on Sony TV.

According to reports, Ratan aka Afaan Khan will no longer be part of the show, but the other memebers of the cast including Tejasswi Prakash will continue to be part of the cast.

Sumeet Mittal while announcing the closure of the show had said that they will be back soon with a new storyline and same cast. Meanwhile the trailer of a brand new show titled Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai by Shashi Sumeet Productions is already out. The new show stars Kiran Kumar, Randeep  Rai and Ashi Singh.

The show is a campus love story set in the 90s. It will replace Pehredaar Piya Ki, and will air after Kaun Banega Crorepati.
