A few months back, when Gul posted a roughly 20 sec video in her Insta introducing A d v a y S i n g h R a i z a d a, it isn't an exaggeration to say that the entire Sobtian fandom went total nuts.If getting to see Barun for another complete year for a minimum of 5 days on our screens, was one reason, getting another version of ASR, aka, the angry young man, was another reason.
Despite being fairly warned many a times that Advay Singh Raizada is a total out and out dark character, an unapologetic, ruthless anti-hero, nothing prepared us for the chill that slithered down our spines when we saw Barun in the Mandir promo.
Advay Singh Raizada is no Knight in shining armor. He is not your regular hot tempered but soft hearted guy. He is definitely no where close to what Arnav Singh Raizada is, nor is anywhere near the farthest vicinity of what Haider Ali Khan is.
Advay Singh Raizada is an angst ridden, manipulative, smartass kameena. He is a cunning player, a master of schemes, plots and words. He is not a man who wears a facade, but rather, a one who is a charade. And Barun is beyond slaying to both perfection and excellence. He has done a beyond perfect job to establish the uniqueness of Advay, setting him apart from what Arnav and Haider are. The differences were emoted and portrayed with so much conviction, confidence and clarity that it just makes you wanna give him a standing ovation.
Honestly, Advay Singh Raizada is one of the best decisions that Barun has taken. Coz, this character is bringing out the best out of Barun. It has so much scope and space for him to emote and portray just how impeccable and immensely talented and uber natural he is when it comes to acting.
There is so much honesty about this character, Advay Singh Raizada, that it hardly takes anytime for one to get connected with him. The rage, the pain, the agony, the loss, the revenge and the schemes all fall into perfect place and pace. The intensity of the character and more so the way it is being portrayed, oft leaves you with bated breath.
To say that Barun has his claws and teeth sunk into Advay Singh Raizada, would be a gross understatement. Honestly, no one apart Barun can convince people of such dark character. And this man is slaying it to a point that people are not only convinced, but also attuned and attached, effortlessly so.Every single episode of the series so far has been a benchmark of its own. It feels like Barun is pushing and setting new benchmarks for himself, with every frame.
When Barun acts, you don't just see Advay on screen. Be that the pain, or the rage, or the manipulation, or the agony. You feel him. And you feel his need to do whatever he does. It is extremely difficult to otherwise sympathize with the kind of things that Advay does and his reasons behind it. But the way Barun portrays every single emotion just grabs you and gets you connected with everything that Advay is going through, that, you always find the reasons behind his every move, be apt and justified.
No one. Absolutely no one can portray a tormented child trapped in an avenging adult, the way Barun does.
The torment of a child or rather a teen, whose perfect, beautiful and happy world has been snatched in the snap of a finger, and that too when his own bestie seems to have played a huge role in it( even if as a pawn), couldn't have been conveyed any better than Barun already did and is doing.
What could be struck of as an illogical revenge plot has been carefully and perfectly weaved thread by thread, promising it to be one of the most emotional roller-coaster of a journeys ahead.
The biggest plus point about Advay is the way he is written. He is a beautiful and rather painful mix of contradictions, conflicts, strength and vulnerability. He is someone who is struck in his past and refuses to move ahead. He has created his entire existence around the tragedy that has happened to him and is on a mission to drag everyone responsible, into the fire that has been consuming him since years. Conveying that, takes one hell of an actor and Barun is absolutely winning it. A few of the emotions that Barun is nailing as Advay are:
Advay saunters around with an icy grip over his emotions, never letting anything slip infront of anyone. Even when there are situations you see him seething in rage, the control he has over himself and exerts it with such finesse mastery, never fails to slither a shiver down your spine. But it is once he is alone in the cocoon of his solitude and dark do you realize that he is actually one hell of an inferno that is just waiting for the right time and place to be unleashed. And this difference has been emoted loud and clear with so much confidence and authority that there is not one moment when you find Advay's character going blurred or swinging.
And no one can portray rage the way Barun does. The way his entire face flushes peach-pink, the otherwise whiskey eyes darken and harden to brown, the little flare of his nostrils, the grit of his jaw, the little shake of his body, the tick of his nerves; without as much as opening his mouth or even moving a step, he manages to send a shiver down one's spine. He emotes the kind of anger that simply scares a person off their wits.
The way he cries never fails to get your eyes wet. Never ever. So whenever there is an emotional scene ahead, a one that consists of Barun being emotional, it is better that one would be ready with a box of tissues. That man has this innate power over the audience's tear ducts.
Everytime he portrays a conflicted or a tormented man, all you wanna do is go hug that guy. He is so natural and real at it that you feel him suffering, even if you know that it is just a fictional character and that the man who is portraying it is actually all happy and goofy in his real life. But welp, when Barun acts, none of those facts stay valid anymore. Not atleast for that 20-ish minute span of the episode.
Pain is the one emotion that is hard to both enact and convince people of it. And Barun goddamn masters this sector. The commendable grip he has over himself and his acting is immensely applauadble. He is both subtle and strong. Its just his facial muscles that move and his eyes that do the talking and yet, the message is out clear and loud as if he screamed it at the top of his voice. Such talent is something that needs huge appreciation.
Romance and Barun Sobti just go hand in hand. Its like as if Romance is something that comes pretty naturally to him. The biggest asset Barun has is his eyes. Those two whiskey orbs are so damn magical that one would just get lost into them. It all but takes an intense stare, a hardly there smirk and a few softened facial muscles.If there is one thing I have understood about Barun and his romance, it is that, give him a wall or a pillar or a tree or even a stick, and yet, he will turn the scene too effing hot.
Humor, surprisingly is always one of the most underrated emotions that Barun is given to portray. The otherwise goofball of a guy in real life, sure does have his own way of emoting humor onscreen as well. And the most appreciable part is, Barun knows the balance he needs to strike between the humor he is to inject into the characters he is portraying. And he succeeds like a pro in staying true to the innate seriousness and yet adds a hint of humor to it. It seems so natural that, even if it is just an amused expression and a barely there smile, you find yourself smiling and giggling. The man is a magician, you see?
The fact that Barun is getting some really astoundingly wonderful dialogues to narrate as Advay is all but a cherry on the cake! Advay Singh Raizada is possessive of his prey to a point of borderline obsession and the dialogues he is given all but establish that in a regal, sensual and claimed sort of ways, and yet with the perfect amount of warning. Also, the nazms, the shayries and even the simple dialogues are so beautifully written, that you just keep craving more and more. And it doesn't help much that Barun modulates his voice accordingly whenever he recites them, and pours life into simple words. And what cute cute words are we getting to hear in his sexy voice! Ae ji sunthi ho, baby, darling, sweetheart, Pran Priye, Achu ki Mummy, Katto Gilehri, Bhaagyawaan?
The way Barun not just dominates but also swallows the entire screen space, without as much as raising his voice or doing anything OTT is something that is hugely applaudable! The most recent of the episodes was out and out Barun-fied and he absolutely nailed and slayed beyond perfection. Never once did he raise his voice. Never once frowned or even grit his jaw. And yet, he made it clear and loud that he is the boss. This man is just sublime and superlative!
Over these years of seeing and understanding how Barun perceives a character, how he chews it and how he emotes it, the one thing that is pretty clear is, Barun is a master at planning and sketching his work. He enacts the character in his head. He has it all sorted out and planned and sketched up. And whatever we see, is what he wants us to see. It is what he has planned, understood and molded the character as. It is his version of the character. His POV.So, as much as I credit the writers for creating Advay Singh Raizada, I must hands down admit that, Barun is an out and out magician who breathed and is breathing life into Advay. He is an extremely talented magician, a one that is on a constant thirst of improvisation, giving out his best, beating his previous benchmarks and setting new ones on a daily basis. Just when you think he has out done himself, he comes in with something that sets him beyond par excellence.
Barun as an actor has come to a point where he has become extremely refined, precise and flawless. He simply is an actor and a human class apart.

Venturing into yet another media platform, Barun came forward as H a i d e r A l i K h a n in the web-series titled Tanhaiyan. The 10 episodical series aired early this year as a treat on the Valentines Day, staying true to its enriched flavors of love in its various shades and hues.
Barun and Surbhi's pair absolutely sizzled and rocked. The chemistry they had was quite different and refreshing. Tanhaiyaan is a love story of two adults who have their own share of pain and past. A journey of both as individuals and as a couple, it needed a mature chemistry the one unlike between star crossed couple or childhood love couples. It needed a more outgoing, broad and liberal chemistry, be that as lovers or friends or just companions. It wasn't sparks flying or fireworks everywhere. It was like a growing and glowing ball of fire.
Haider Ali Khan, undoubtedly is Barun's charming best, by far. The character is an extremely beautiful mix of contradictions. There's love, there's anger. There's pain, there's content. There's agony, there's jubilation.
And Barun has not only managed, but also aced in emoting every single variation and shade that the character offered and demanded. The Barun we have seen as Arnav Singh Raizada and the Barun we see as Haider Ali Khan is so damn different. The 4-5 year of a sabbatical he has taken, clearly worked in his best interest. The finesse, the precision and the sublime acting Barun surprised us with is immensely applaudable. One can clearly see the radical improvement and perfection that he has attained and mastered over the years. And it was an absolute treat to the sore eyes that missed seeing him in action for the past few years.
If anything, Haider Ali Khan was a proud reminder of why Barun is the Barun Sobti.
When you see a Casanova and can actually relate to the reason behind his on and off, almost bipolar kind of a life; when you not just understand but can also empathize with his pain and the said reasons behind his complicated living methods; that's when you know that the actor is doing a beyond par excellent job.
Haider Ali Khan is not a flawed man, unlike Barun's previous role of Arnav Singh Raizada. This man is not too complex either. He is just someone who has been shoved into deep pain and loss and has no idea how to handle that sudden dark detour of his life. And Barun made it his top priority to establish that difference and succeeded in it, effortless so. The character build up that HAK goes through over the 10 episodes, would leave you craving for of him. He just gets into your head.
When you see Haider, you are more of intrigued by him, rather than intimidated or irked by him. There is always an aura of binding mystery around him and Barun leaves no stone upturned to emote that to perfection. Who would've thought that a man who portrayed a character that would erupt like a volcano at the tip of a hat, could portray a character that is out and out charming, flirtatious and emotional? That too to the Tee?
That's what Tanhaiyan offered. A new dimension and brilliance of what Barun is capable of.
The ease with which Barun enacts this charming, flirty and chocolaty boy-ish character is just an out of the world surprise. The nazms he recited over the series, the shayries that he quoted and even the goddamn words that he used would just have you reeling and reeling.
The parsi-urdu touch to his character all but added the X-factor to HAK. There is a constant sensuous air around him and Barun has pulled that off like a Bawse!
The hot seduction, the raw intimacy and the warm companionship of the character was revealed layer by layer and boy, it had been such a wonderful portrayal as wonderful as the writing had been.
Every time he flirted, he put up a smile on your face.
Every time he made a move, your breath would hitch.
Every time he went aap, you'd find yourself melting into a mush.
Not to forget, our dear Sobti man, shook his leg and two - that too thrice! And what a treat has it been!! If only this Punjabi munda would let go of his inhibitions and let the bhangra in his veins flow free. There simply is no one who can do romance like Barun Sobti does. That guy can get you pregnant with his eyes. That strong is his eye game. And that..is an established fact.
But guess, Gul wanted to prove that there is much more to Barun than we've ever seen and known. And she upped the game, quite literally so.
One of the defining moments was Sleepex scene. Needless to say, Barun has enacted in quite a hot and intimate avatar, setting the screen and everyone watching it on fire. There was a certain beauty and purity in those sensual moments that just leave you enchanted.
The raath goddamn chub gayi.
There are quite a lot of moments over the series that defined and set Barun on the pedestal of appreciation. Be that the constant conflict he seems to be drowning in, be that his escapade routes that he succumbs to, be that his journey of fighting, accepting, embracing and owning love...Barun was a magician who just left everyone enchanted with his every move.
There is nothing cliche about the character Haider Ali Khan. Nothing you've not seen before. And dare I admit, nothing that you wont be able to predict. And yet..and yet, there is something alluring and charming about the way the character is written and portrayed that just binds you to him. There is an honesty and reality to the portrayal that leaves you rooting for more of him.
Every time you see HAK in conflict with his past and pain, you can actually relate to it. There is this stubborn stupidity in HAK that doesn't let him to be free from the guilt he carries around, every single breathing second. Pain and guilt are one heck of a venomous combination. A one that drowns and suffocates you. The torment of a man who has no idea how to come back and anchor himself from that suffocation he's gotten lost into, couldn't have been portrayed any better than Barun did in this series.
The way Barun enacted Haider, is quite refreshing. There are many a moments in the series, where you see him giving transitioned expressions. Be that smiling amidst teary heartfelt proposal, a touch of humor in serious discussions, or a hint of seriousness in his casual flirting. He has enlayered 2-3 emotions and expressions, blending and emoting them with such natural ease and perfection that it just leaves you gob-smacked.
No one can pull the emotional scenes like Barun Sobti does.
Give that man an intense scene and he would drag you along a goddamn roller-coaster. The experience just stays with you. It affects you on ways and levels you cant shake yourself off or describe in proper words.
And no one...Absolutely no one can cry like Barun does.
When his bottom lip quivers, when his voice cracks, when he takes that shaky breath, when his face flushes pink, when his eyes go wet with streaks of red...just take a tissue and dab your face, coz you'd be crying alongside him!
Barun Sobti has this undeniable and innate power to just strike the raw chords within you. Be that making you go weak at your knees, or making you weep your eyes out.
He is a pied piper, and we - his willing crusade.

Not sure if it was the flow of the story, the beauty of the moment, the magic of the background score or the on fire intimacy and chemistry of the couple, but, lets just say that it added a rather hot and sexy feather in the actor's hat.
"Barun Sobti is small screen's SRK ah well that wasn't a boasting statement from his fans but his current show the third season of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon show's heroine Shivani Tomar had commented that about him. Well we don't agree more. Don't we? A grand come back on the same channel with same PH and the show that gave him huge success all over the world. Once again we see Barun creating the ripples in our not so steady determination that we wont fall for any other show. Yea. He is back creating the same goosebumps, same butterflies on our stomach with his magical romance on screen as Advay Singh Raizada. Within the 30 odd episodes of the show we have been subjected to the intensity, darkness as well the much loved romantic side of Advay. Well sure a roller coaster ride for us again like the old times.Advay-Chandni romance is yet to bloom and we are in for another epic.

The Actor B a r u n
Barun Sobti- a natural actor that he makes everything he does on screen look and feel real. There's an innate honesty in his performance that is mesmerising, it makes you pay attention to him and adds authenticity to whatever he does. He has a subtlety which adds a sense of depth to even mundane scenes and a vast range that allows him to add nuances, intensity and intricate layers to even the simplest character. He has a rare and delicate touch when understanding and interpreting complex human emotions - he can wordlessly show love, hate, passion, anger, conflict and inner turmoil and he draws one in, makes one feel what he is feeling, and ultimately makes his audience laugh and cry and fall in love along with him.
He is one of the most intelligent and thoughtful actors one can have the privilege of watching. He researches, he ponders, he questions, he re-imagines - and he puts all of that thought into what he does onscreen by adding layers, extra dimensions, minute detailing and clever touches which give so much depth to his characters. It is clear he has a love of the craft and a love of creating something credible and presenting it for the audience to savour. He has a talent to create memorable and magical moments on screen and he forces the audience to pay attention to him, to not want to look away, and to become lost in each and every minute.
Barun gets into the head of every character he plays and he makes it look easy. He spends time trying to understand the psyche, work out what makes him function, what makes him get up every day and face the world, what makes him uniquely him - in short, he grasps the psychology of the man. Then he commands your attention onscreen with his precise body language, the way he moves or gestures in a particular way, and his ever changing myriad of expressions and micro expressions that let one into the characters thoughts.
And his flickering, emotive eyes disclose secrets, they reveal everything he wants the audience to be aware of. One knows what his character is thinking and feeling and hiding even before he can say it, simply because his eyes become the window to his soul. He allows one in through them and perfectly conveys his characters every emotion with each frown, each tiny movement, each sweep of his lashes. Even the way he expertly uses his facial muscles with such finesse, the way he modulates the tone of his voice just a fraction higher or lower - all of it is effortless and helps sends one into that other world of his making.
Each character we has seen him play is different from all others, even when they have similar traits. He brings in a freshness and has the uncanny ability to highlight those differences, present them anew, and draw the eye to the things that make them unique. And every single time he makes the character so irresistibly intriguing that the audience is unable to ignore him, dismiss him or stop thinking about him. He makes one believe that somewhere somehow this character actually exists, that he matters, that he's living, breathing, dreaming, and this is the hallmark of a clever and extraordinary actor.
Barun so easily makes his character accessible and relatable, he makes one like the unlikeable, champion the unchampionable, understand the incomprehensible and root for the one who sometimes doesn't deserve it. He makes the audience feel compassion and empathy when they should feel anger. He can make one see beneath the social veneer presented to the world to the hurt, broken, anguished, flawed man who also suffers and bleeds. He makes the audience feel a cascade of so many different emotions and invest wholeheartedly in the character. And he does this so perfectly, so skillfully, and so beautifully that they don't even realise how or when it happened.
The Charming B a r u n
Barun Sobti off screen has his own unique charm, he is an adorable kid in a grown up body who is constantly laughing and having fun on set. Watching his BTS one would ask how does this goofy, playful man skillfully pull off such intricate, complicated and layered performances? How does he provide that delicate balance to a character who is sometimes not quite black or white and often has many questionable shades? And how does he do it so easily and so quickly, go from laughing to serious in the blink of an eye, literally at the flip of his now famous internal on/off button?
Watching him onscreen one would assume he was similar to the often complicated characters he plays simply because he does it so effortlessly and naturally. That there must be some parallels, some points of intersection, for him to be so good at understanding and portraying every character. But seeing how he behaves when the camera is off, when he laughs with the cast, hangs out with the crew, jokes with costars and the media, there is only one possible conclusion to come to - that this man is an even better actor than he first appears to be.
There is no actor as down to earth and as humble as Barun, who is unaffected by fame and always tries to shy away from praise and attention. He is warm, caring, and particularly kind in his words, actions, behaviour and the way he treats others. He is extremely respectful and polite, not overtly polished or slick but very sincere. His philosophy of embracing normalcy wherever possible makes him more genuine to his fans. And it's refreshing that he isn't influenced by what people are doing around him and doesn't feel the need to compete with anyone other than himself.
Off screen and in person he is charming, sweet, funny, responsive, quick witted, expressive, confident but courteous, comfortable in his own skin, exuberant, a little mischievous and so nice, a total sweetheart. And he is also thoughtful, introspective, patient with people, a little bit shy, and blushes easily. He has an aura of positive energy surrounding him and there is an overall sense of goodness, a decency, a niceness about him which shines brighter than anything else when one meets him and sees how he interacts with others.
Barun has a lack of ego and attitude that makes him extremely likeable and he doesn't seem to take anything for granted, neither fame nor his fans. He always says to everyone 'If you like it please watch it.' One of the sweetest things about him is the way he still gets overwhelmed by the love he receives wherever he goes in India and abroad, even though it is an absolute certainty that he earned this following with his incredible talent and sheer hard work. And he is still so shy yet he makes a huge effort when he meets fans, going out of his way to interact and engage with them in the friendliest terms.
And he prefers being out of the limelight, even when it is constantly on him he is happy to do his work and go back to his private space and the wife he adores. He doesn't revel in the attention he gets, he handles it with a quiet dignity and fairness and steps back to let others have their say, to let them be in the spotlight. It is obvious that he's a team player who is always looking for the benefit of everyone and not just himself even when a lot of the recognition is just for him. This is one of the many reasons why his costars and producers have such wonderful things to say about him as a person, and why he builds up such an easy camaraderie with every single person he works with.
Barun is someone who always thinks for himself and is extremely pragmatic and strong minded. He sticks to his convictions by following the not so easy path and taking up roles that inspire him and that he connects with. He truly believes that his work will talk for him and one can agree that it does. Every time the camera rolls there is no trace of him anywhere and the natural accomplished actor in him takes over. Whether intense, angry, complicated, brooding, or simple, happy, contented and 'normal', he always brings that edge and flair to every onscreen persona and makes the audience fall that little bit more in love with him both on and off screen.

How did your feelings vary from when you first saw him to now : It's been an overwhelming intensification. I initially found him okay in IPKKND 1 but by the end of the show, I think he owned the show totally. Now I think he's the finest actor on Indian TV and has everything to be a Bollywood star.
What do you like about Barun : Everything man... You should ask what I don't like about him, but then I would be clueless about what to say because everything about him is so endearing
One character you would like to see Barun act as : Bunny of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. He has this irresistible charm and he'd totally nail Bunny. His bearded look would make him hot af in an Ilahi sequence just like Ranbir!

This is truly special so let me just start by saying that words would never be able to justify what I feel for you. People say that fans are just admirers who like the work of their idols and they don't actually love the person as he is since he showcases a public image while hiding his real self but I am extremely proud to say that I truly loved, love and will always love you. I love you for the way you bend when kids run to take selfies with you, I love you for the way you dance awkwardly, I love you for your clumsy PR skills, I love you for the way your laugh and smile reach your eyes and for how you laugh openly without any pretence and I love you for considering yourself as one amongst us, your people, and not as the factor that has brought so many of your Sobtians together. Be it the way your gorgeous expressive eyes spreads all the emotions of your characters in such a wonderful manner, be it the way you look at your leading ladies as if the concerned one is the only woman to exist on earth with your intense passionate looks, be it your irresistible sexy voice, be it the way you snuggle into the arms of elderly people onscreen, be it the slight touches with those beautiful fingers, be it your chemistry with every single character you share screen space with, be it the way you hold your phone amongst so many things, you make everything worth.
I know that people are entitled to their opinion but you being called overrated is something I just cannot relate to because you don't act as the characters that you portray but become and live them, which is why you become so natural and convincing onscreen, through your micro-expressions. As Ritu Shivpuri says, it is your beautiful heart that transcends onscreen and the end result ends up being simply phenomenal. You are the most stunning actor and my all-time favourite always. I wish I had known you earlier but since I have seen all your shows now, I think you've matured and evolved a lot as an actor. You're literally like THE best actor we have on Indian TV and you're totally next level! You're simply brilliant and own every single scene with your majestic, magnetic, magnanimous screen presence. Your sincerity and honesty in all your performances makes you so endearing and the beauty of your acting lies in your wisdom. How did your feelings vary from when you first saw him to now : I first time saw Barun in his Sony show "Baat Hamari Pakki Hai". How did your feelings vary from when you first saw him to now :
This I know a few fans here already is aware but for those who doesn't. I initially didn't have a great impression of Barun. My sis used this account initially cos she used to like the Geet couple. Currently we both use this account. She used to tell me some things about IPK couple and also Barun. I wasn't into much of TV except just following the shows Mum and sis watched. Wasn't really into TV at all. I only started coming using my sis account to discuss about Deepika/Ranveer/Kangana am a huge fan of deepveer pairing and KANGANA <3 Then Bahubali 2 came and that's what made me an active fan here. I watched pardes show in between this period cos of my sis(she is a huge drasti fan, I became more of arjun fan and we used to bicker on who is better actor ). Then I heard the show was being replaced by IPK3. Came here to check on the show. I read almost all the articles of IPK3 here, and the promos on YouTube. The unnecessary hate that Shivani received disgusted me beyond words. How can people be so vile I have no idea! Decided to watch the show for her alone. And then Barun in his some of his earlier interviews(which I googled) came across as humble and down to earth which I felt it was endearing. Gradually Barun has won over me. His acting is amazing, he honestly is damn good looking(sometimes it hurts to see him in such bad clothes in name of fashion, he needs just some casuals mostly in white and that's enough to make girls weak in knees), his interviews again he is Super cute and grounded. I don really belong to the crazy group who literally worships him, YET. Idk if I would one day. Let's see.

How did your feelings vary from when you first saw him to now : first time I saw Barun in Dill Mill Gayye Raj Singh, he seemed okayish type to me(a pretty boy who can can act decently). After his abrupt exit from DMG I honestly forgot all about him...
Several weeks later, while my mum was watching some show at Sony TV Baat Hamari Pakki Hai promo came, I literally shouted "dear Lord he is same guy from DMG, what is he doing in this show", I started watching BHPK due to sheer curiosity about Barun, and Lo behold there is no looking back from then onwards. The Charismatic Shravan Jaiswal made a place in my heart...
I watched all the episodes of Shraddha searching from net, just to see his performance and I was glad to see he came long way from Shraddha to BHPK Before watching Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon season 1 I was his avid fan, but this serial cemented his place in my heart for forever. The Suave, Handsome, Charming Arnav Singh Raizada is etched in my mind for eternity... Nobody could have done justice to Arnav apart from Barun, he soul of ASR...
He made his debut on silver screen as enchanting Sukhi in Main aur Mr. Right it was an absolute delight to watch him on big screen. Due to his constant visit to Kolkata for his movie 22yards, I had the pleasure to meet him, and Needless to say he is one of the most warm and down-to-earth person. It was awesome experience having chat with him...
After his hiatus of almost 4years he returned back on small screen as enthralling Haider Ali Khan in Tanhaiyan, good Lord he became more handsome with more finesse in his work, giving his fans an ultimate Valentine gift, which will be always treasured by me..
One fine day Gul posted ASR pic on her IG account, raising my heartbeat, after lot of speculations came another video tweet of Advay Singh Raizada give fuel to the ongoing speculations... Then one fine day while surfing though channel, while watching TV I heard the music of Rabbave with Barun onscreen, for a second literally my heart came to my throat and all the scenes from 5 years back started dancing infront of eyes...i had quite hard time believing that Barun is returning back as irresistible Advay Singh Raizada, that feeling was surreal
Now watching TV at 8:00 P.M. from Monday to Friday is as essential as breathing to me (no exaggeration here though, because I literally fight to be before at 8 every weekday ) Barun is doing commendable job as Advay, his every expression, his every move seems so alluring. He has turned me in one of his true blue-blood fan for my entire life with his work...and I am proud to be his fan #proudSobtian for life...

I like him very much and his down to earth nature and his natural acting. HE is such a supportive, calm and poised person. And I love this thing about him.
I would love to see him playing the role of Mr Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride and prejudice.

How did your feelings vary from when you first saw him to now :
i thought he was an incredible actor when i first saw him and now i still think that but also believe that he's a truly beautiful person both inside and out. he's amazingly down to earth, shy, sweet, kind, humble, thoughtful, respectful, funny, unaffected by fame & the craziness around him, an all round sweetheart and a very talented man who deserves all success and accolades and the love people have for him
What do you like about Barun :
everything! like literally, there isn't one single thing i dont like, i'm even happy with the long hair and beard his acting and good looks made me notice him but his personality made me love him beyond expectation
One character you would like to see Barun act as :
the antagonist, an out and out one, not just an anti-hero. though i'm loving all the shades he's bringing to Advay i think he would be amazing as a villain, a complicated one who wasn't all black but dark enough. maybe something like John's role in Dhoom or Saif's in Omkara. he can bring so much depth and character to such a role which i really would love to see him do
