Shivaay opened up on his feelings a little to Gauri, to OmRu. The man who contained all his feelings deep inside of him to appear invincible to the family, the protector of the Oberois, let them peek into his heart, that was a raging mass of pain, and regret at having trusted Anika so blindly, giving her the power to break him. When a person like Shivaay has been through that, it it difficult for him to trust Anika again. Like a broken mirror can never be fixed perfectly again. The marriage that they had was broken beyond repair and cannot be fixed. For them to start anew, it has to be a fresh beginning, a marriage where both acknowledge the love they have for the other, trust between them, that is the bedrock of marriage.
Anika's behaviors has been puzzling to say the least and we get it that she did all that she did to protect Shivaay. Is she showing tadi so that she does not collapse under the weight of the secret she is withholding from Shivaay who is like a hound that has scented a fox, is hunting the fox relentlessly until it comes out in the open.
The scene between Gauri and Shivaay was so emotional and both of them were brilliant. The mutual affection and regard for the other was perfectly portrayed. Shivaay has a special place for Gauri in his life as she brought back his Om to life, his art, his every breath and more and he can never repay her enough for what she has done. The man maybe blind when it comes to Anika but not where Gauri is concerned. He knows that she is a pure soul and perfect for Om. The promise he made to her, she will become Om's wife is a journey that I am waiting to see.
For Gauri, the way Shivaay accorded her respect, brought her to OM with dignity is something she can never forget and that is what she wants from this marriage to Om. She has been given her place and respect as a bahu, Dadi's blessings the other day was special and heartfelt. She has built a rapport with Anika and Rudra, proved her mettle when the Oberois were in a crisis over Shivaay's disappearance. She never lost faith when Om was in a coma and that quality of never say die is admired by Shivaay.
This was unexpected and a most beautiful sequence in IB after ages as lately we have been getting all half baked episodes. The juxtaposition of Anika-Saahil with Gauri -Shivaay was wonderful. The bond between a brother and sister, that is one of affection and giving need not be forged by blood but by goodness of the heart. This was the message that I got while watching the scenes. Little Saahil who is wise beyond his years, recognizing that he is blessed to have Anika in his life, who smiled and tied Rakhi even though her heart was breaking inside was marvelous. His innate trust and faith in Shivika is like a balm to their wounded hearts now.
Saahil when he proclaimed that SSO is a man who can solve any issue because he is SSO, was a direct message to Shivaay's heart. The look that Shivika gave towards Saahil was one of pure love and pride, his faith will not be misplaced. SSO will set everything right again. Shivaay again felt the pain of Anika's betrayal at that moment while Saahil was reposing his full faith in him. That little scene was tugging my heartstrings. Shivaay is a man who is clutching at straws as he does not know what to believe any more while Anika refuses to divulge the truth to him.
Another scene from Friday was the Rudra-Pinky scene. Rudra's growth is tremendous and shown in a wonderful way. From being the frivolous carefree guy who chased skirts to one exhibiting amazing maturity in stressful situations to bringing a smile to Anika bhabhi's face reminiscing about his birthday was well done.
Whatever the writers have in store where Shivika's remarriage is concerned, just need to see them have the full trust and faith in each other before taking the sacred steps around Agni. Address the issues between them, maintain consistency in the flow of events.
