Actress Divyanka Tripathi is back from her
amazing vacation with husband, Vivek
Dahiya and has resumed shooting for her
show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (YHM) on Star
Plus.
However, the show has been experiencing a
rather dipping phase in terms of ratings on
the TRP charts in recent times.
The show, which is an almost constant
member of the Top 10 list has been off the
list and has been facing a gradual dip in the
ratings for quite some time now.
We got in contact with Divyanka aka Ishita
herself and asked her about the same.
She said, "I really think it is just a phase and
nothing else. And I do not get affected by it.
If one would notice intricately, YHM has
never been a rating topper since its
inception. We began on an 11 pm slot and
have witnessed the most slot shifts than any
other show probably. However, that has
never affected the show drastically and that
is an indicator in itself. We are 3 and half
years old now and we are not just a popular
Indian show but also a popular global show.
So, when it comes to the ratings, YHM had
probably topped once or twice throughout
its run, but we are certainly consistent and
the favourites of people with taste."
She added, "Most importantly, we are an
ensemble cast who love each other so much
that when even one person is not present
on the set, we feel a little dull that day. We
literally have the Hum Saath Saath Hain' vibe
going on amongst us (laughs). One of the
important things about YHM has been that
we have always shown real content and
that's why it's relatable for many. There are
many other shows that showcase kitchen
dramas and probably end up garnering
great ratings. But, with YHM, that has never
been the case. Of course, we have to create
drama as that is what sells; but our drama
and the content is real and relatable. Hence,
the ratings don't even bother me till we are
going strong on story-line and execution."
