Rajeev Masand interview with Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are all set to sizzle on the silver screen once again when Jagga Jasoos releases on July 14. After several delays, JJ is finally going to see the light of day, but between all this Ranbir and Katrina have also gone through a lot. From being lovers to exes, a lot has changed between them. However, the stars maintain that their professional relationship has been the same. They share a dynamic work rate which pushes each other to do well. But Ranbir has accused Katrina of not giving him space! No he is not talking about personal space, but professional work space...

During an interview with Rajeev Masand, Katrina revealed how they both are very competitive while they work. The actress mentioned, "In a professional capacity, from the first test shoot of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, me and Ranbir have always shared a dynamic of work that pushes us to try and compete. Of course we both are hardworking otherwise as well, but there is also a little competitive air and that drives you and keeps you on your toes. That's when Ranbir added how Katrina doesn't give him space while they work and hence, he cannot be a method actor while she is around. As RK revealed, "Beyond competition, we can amuse and entertain ourselves. When there were mundane days in a 160 day film, you will always see Katrina and me up to something. Either having a competition that is very deep or fighting or pulling each other's leg or something and I have always enjoyed it as it keeps your energy high on the sets. When you work with actors, after you give a shot, you retire to your individual corners and everybody is in their space. But Katrina doesn't give you space. If you are trying to do method acting, I always had this voice over going on, Look at this method actor Marlon Brando, who does he think he is?'She was constantly belittling my process and my process become so minuscule that I could not fake it that I am really trying to be the character.
