Does the UK-US 'special relationship' still exist?😳

How much influence does the British Government have over the Bush Administration?

President Bush has said America and Britain will stand together to try bring peace to Iraq.

He was speaking after talks with Tony Blair at the White House, a day after a high-level US commission delivered a damning verdict on America's current strategy in Iraq.

Are Tony Blair and George Bush at one over all this? How much sway does the British Government have on US policy? Does the "special relationship" still exist?

"
Britain needs to be a player in Europe, not America. The UK flowing US has to stop. The reality of the Churchill doctrine is over. It is time we had a United Europe, one that can act as a sanity check to US foreign policy.
A United Europe would have enough leverage to protect itself, its neighbours, and help the World get over its growing pains."
