Disha Patani signed for Baaghi 2

Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi (2016) is gearing up for a sequel. While it is common knowledge that Tiger is reprising the protagonist once again, there has been speculation about the female lead in the sequel. And if reports are to be believed, then Baaghi 2 has finally gone to Tiger's alleged girlfriend Disha Patani. 

While Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez were the top contenders for the role, Disha has finally bagged the role of the leading lady. The sequel will be directed by Ahmed Khan and the official announcement related to the leading lady will be made soon. 

While the first film was directed by Sabbir Khan, choreographer-filmmaker Ahmed Khan has been roped in to direct the sequel. Director Ahmed Khan feels, Disha is the right choice since both of them look good together onscreen. While their chemistry is evident, Disha is a dynamic actress too. While Tiger will be seen doing some dare devil stunts, Disha will also perform some high-octane action sequences.  The second installment of the "Baaghi" franchise is slated to release on April 27 next year.
