||Maya & Monisha Appreciation Thread||

Our favorite Saas - Bahu duo played by Ratna Pathak and Rupali Ganguly respectively is back with Sarabhai vs Sarabhai's Season 2 and we're looking forward to Monisha's middle-classiyat and Maya's sophisticated manners.

Discuss and appreciate everything about these two in this thread.

Maya Sarabhai (played by Ratna Pathak)

She is Indravadan's wife and likes only the creme de la creme in every aspect of her life and her family. Her bone of contention is her daughter-in-law, Monisha, who is from a middle class Punjabi family. The confrontations with Monisha are always very suave and sugar-coated. She is also very talented, she wants to be very sure that her second son, Rosesh doesn't do a Sahil and marry someone who is middle class. As a result, has trouble finding a girl his "Momma' will like. She also tries to "save" Sahil from the "middle class" acts of his wife, Monisha.
Comic side: Teasing and correcting someone when he/she behaves in an unsophisticated or less sophisticated manner. Her constant refrain is "It's so middle class!" Her victim is mostly Monisha. She says snide, rude or patronising things to Monisha, but covers up by saying, "Don't mind huh beta, I am just joking" or "Don't mind huh beta, I'm just using you as an example", in the end.

Monisha Sarabhai (portrayed by Rupali Ganguly)

The middle class girl, she is the daughter-in-law of the Sarabhais. Her father was a detective and she seems to have got the same inquisitive genes in her. Committed to her husband, she hates the fact that Maya constantly belittles her, though she respects her, but she never lets an opportunity to get back at Maya go. She is most careless, sometimes idiotic in the whole Sarabhai family. Also, she never tidies her house, which is always in a mess. She was earlier known as Manisha, but Maya made her change her name insisting that Manisha was too middle class. She consistently sides with her father-in-law Indu.
Comic side: She behaves like a typical middle-class woman, always trying to save as much money as possible running after sale offers, tries to make efficient use of everything, but failing miserably. She threatens Sahil that she will leave the house when he does not take her side or when she gets angry on Maya.

||AT Rules||

Appreciation Thread: Appreciation threads are to be used to praise and appreciate particular favorite actor/actress/celebrity. All discussions related to actor's/actress performance, looks, style and personality can be confined to ATs. Please don't use the AT's as a forum to bash/mock/discuss other celebrities/members, discuss what is happening on the forum or elsewhere on IF or other social networking sites, basically keep it related to what the AT is about. The appreciation thread is to be used for the discussion on their current show only, other reality segments can be discussed insofar that it relates to their character or acting in the current show.  Discussion on past shows are not allowed in the appreciation thread.

a. Chatting: We do allow minimum chatting in ATs, provided it is related to this AT alone. Additionally Do not spam with just emotions/numbers to increase post count/pages. Do not quote long quotes.You can quote three posts maximum and they should be small. 

ATs are open for everyone, however, do not invade the AT with the purpose to rile up the fans or instigate them.  Everyone has their right to voice out their opinions and should NOT be judged/generalized based on their likes/dislikes. If any of your fellow members/friends fails to follow the rules, kindly ask them to edit out or tell them its wrong rather than joining them and aggravate the issues further and equally responsible for carrying forward an unfavorable situation. Hence be responsible and take responsibility because that way you may prevent action taken against your AT thread.

ATs/discussions threads can NOT be used to target other members and NO pinpointing activity/mock or taking digs here toward other fan groups.Any derogatory references or name callings against actors /characters/members/Dev team members are strictly PROHIBITED here.

b. Report: If you see anyone breaching the rules in any of the threads in the main forum, you will not come here and rant it out about it and snowball the issue further! Instead make use of the "REPORT" button and report the thread by stating the reason clearly. As soon as the Dev Team comes online they would take the necessary action.

We can assure you guys that we only takes action where it's legit reason. However, here is a little catch for the stalkers who just want to report in order to get the AT closed down - If you report any post/comments that has no legit reason, you will be reliable for action against you for stalking.

If the DT sees more than 3 people breaking the AT rules constantly for a week, the effects of violations will kick start, which go as follows:

First Violation - Warning Note  

Second - Another Warning Note   

Third - Another Warning Note  

Fourth - Close the AT for 24 hrs (1 Day)  

Fifth - Close AT for 72 hrs (3 Days)  

Sixth - Close AT for 1 week (7 Days)   

Seventh - Get rid of AT completely from the forum/Shift it to Celebrity Fan Club Forum.

N I guess this is the only saas bahu drama I hv liked after Tu tu main main! 😃 Reema mam n Supriya mam, made the later an epic one just like Rathna Mam n Rupali r making SVS epic...

yes, Tu tu main main was a great show and R.I.P. Reema mam, she was a great actress

Ratna and Rupali are a great duo and I hope we see the same sparks between them as in season 1 😆

 N yup my most fav train in the world is that express train called Monisha Murdabad express! 😆😆  N yeah Indu's way of shutting it off is equally fun... my fav is " Cinderella ki sauteli behnon abb bas bhi karo!"  😆
