bact to Omkaara. His family is selfish family in the world. What he does either for his family or mom or sister is considered as degrading stuffs and tej makes fun of him every time and compare Om to Shivaay. Shivaay saved his family degrading a girl's self respect is very good according to their family bcs it's good for family. And whatever Om done is not considered to be well deserved.
