Vijay Anand and his songs

Bollywood has seen multiple dancers but only few who could direct songs. Vijay Anand is a great director, script writer, producer and actor. He was also known to make his leading lady look like million bucks. But more than that he was a great song director. His song direction was known for innovation and incredible long shot scenes. Don't trust me, then watch last few minutes of song "Hothon Pe Aisi Baath" from Jewel Thief. Added here are 10 (or 11) of my most favorite song that he directed -

6> Khwab Ho Tum Ya Koi Haqeeqat - Teen Deviyan - One of my favorite movie actually. He used long shots here and perfected technique in his next few.

5>Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehti Ho - Blackmail - There is no innovation but the song is so incredibly romantic that I had to add it here.

4> Aankhon Mein Kya Ji - Nau Do Gyarah - Kishor's lovely duet and Dev Anand at his romantic best.

1> Tere Ghar Ke Samne -Tere Ghar Ke Samne - Movie filled with lovely songs but this song takes the cake. Watch Nutan in glass when VFX did not exist.

I think Dev Anand's movies were much better when they were directed by Vijay Anand ( as opposed to Dev himself directing  his movies later).

Vijay Anand himself was a decent actor. Kora Kagaz is such an amazing movie! And the serial Tehkikat was so entertaining...I still remember watching it.
