Don't read that book. That book is a shit. Turkish director Hilal made an awesome show out of that crappy novel. Don't post too much spoilers at a time otherwise people will lost interest. I have answers to your questions personally through PMs which is fine. Posting too much spoilers about future will ruin the suspense of those who have not watched as The story is fixed. The show is just 2 weeks old and we have 310-315 episodes left according to divided time of 21 minutes. So please we have a very long way to go😊. But not longer than other shows😆. It will run for 12-13 months of followed the original properly.

even though the show is fixed people already know the main plot and everyone in this forum knows its a remake.

Yes you are right. But some did not watched na so they don't know the story😊. One in a while spoiler is fine but too much ruins the suspense. There can also be someone who watched the show but forgot several things or missed few episodes in between.

Have u seen Zindagi Gulzar hai ? (fawad khan)
it is also a novel adaptation.
well in tht novel the hero has slapped the heroine twice or thrice. but they did not show this in the serial.
Reason is obvious. I think its wise to agree that majority of the public prefer watching tv rather than reading a book. hence the target audience for a serial is by default much larger than that of a book. therefore, serials like zindagi gulzar hai and KQHAK, that have deeper meanings and/ or social messages in them are intended or rather hope they can influence the mind of the audience against injustice, things that r not right, etc etc, urging them to change their wrong viewpoint.

Therefore certain things r modified so that it leaves a proper impact upon the mind of the audience. If they would show amala being tortured and raped by abeer and then forced into a a marriage in this case it would not be taken well by the public and instead of influencing them in the right way it might have an opposite effect and also lets face it, most of the rape victims are not strong enough to pick up the broken pieces and fight all alone without the support of a second person. this serial and also fatmagul tends to be more realistic. hope that answers ur question

The book sounds very dark and brutal, also some what disgusting from the description you are giving. No wonder they changed the story in the serial. Does Fatmagul falls in love with Kareem in the book version also?

There is a Fatmagul movie of 1985 on YouTube but has no english subtitles. I think the movie and book was made according to 1980s Turkey being one of the Muslim country where people were much more regressive especially in villages. Like princess said above, present day Turkish people and even present day Indian people will never accept original Fatmagul story because it will give wrong messages to people. Kerim of TV show was very much opposite to Kerim of book. Kerim is an example of an ideal lover and husband.

Kerim raped her with his friends than forced to marry her due to friends pressure than after marriage he tortured her and even hit her many times due to which she had miscarriage; but after marriage she had no where to go so she stayed back with him and with patience and understanding Fatmagul won his love

@Bold: Zaroon slapped Kashaf in the novel! 😲 Thats shocking.
Can't imagine Kashaf being treated like this given the kind of strong headed women she was..
