Karan said that he was asked to change his way of talking and behaving in public. "In those times, I was told that I speak like a girl and I needed speech therapy. But now-a-days people are more accepting," the 44-year-old said.
"My sexuality has been constantly talked-about. I am who I am and I am proud of what I am. I walk the talk. I am not apologetic about my orientation," he added.
Talking about his new born twins Karan said that there was deep sense of loneliness and vacuum so he wanted to channelise his love towards something beautiful. "I want to be the mother of my children. I don't want them to be filmmakers if they don't want to be. My need to have children was my sense of nurturing," Kjo explained.
Also, Karan did not shy away from giving actor Kangana Ranaut the most entertaining personality on this season in his chat show Koffee With Karan.
After the war of words between Kangana and Karan, the debate on star kids having it easy in the film industry had been reignited.
Kangana had attacked Karan on his chat show, calling him the flag-bearer of nepotism someone who is "snooty and completely intolerant to outsiders" and accused him of running a "movie mafia".
