As promised, here I am with a rant on Pragya.

I will be taking myself away from the forum for a few days, so needed to get this off my chest, so I can go about my merry way😊 Again, this is all rant central, so please if you do not want to get all agitated, please do not proceed any further. I am writing this all from the POV of Pragya, assuming that Abhi will not be told the truth for fear of " brain explosion"

So what has to happen for Abhi to accept Pragya as his companion?

1. Abhi has to realize his feelings for Pragya without any doubts in his mind

2. He has to get rid of the🤬 from his life

His feelings for Pragya have to be so intense: Now let us examine what is being done for Abhi to realize his feelings for Pragya.

- Does going along with Purab as his love interest make him realize his feelings? May be so, but not enough for him to do anything further. He is more confused now than ever. With her touting herself as his BFFs, GF, did she not make herself more inaccessible to him? That is what has happened, he pushed her to leave Purab and then rescinded everything. Now worse off than where she was before in terms of her standing with Abhi.

- What do you do when you figure out that " making Abhi jealous" plan is not bearing the results expected? Do you go along with the plan or make remedial measures i.e : telling Abhi that in a fit of anger, she agreed to her association with Purab when she was put on the spot publicly with pictures as proof. Wouldn't that have made him think, why, how and where the pictures came from ? Instead, why should Pragya go along with what Abhi says, to the engagement, shopping. Pathetic to see her and the whole gang getting dressed up for the engagement as if she is going to go along with it😕.

- Sadness and pathos unfortunately don't cut it. What were her expectations when she got ready and dressed up for the party? This can obviously go two ways, either she will be forced by Abhi to go through with it or she could stop it. What if she is unable to stop, argue or reason with Abhi just as her streak is going these days? Shouldn't she then have had a concrete plan of stopping it and not Mickey mouse business?

- I am not amused by the childish pranks of saying "Purab's relatives can't come" or " I cut my ring finger, so can't wear the ring"😡. When did inability of anyone's relatives arrival stop anything, heck, it doesn't stop weddings, how then an engagement? And the upcoming ring thing, is even worse. It is like a child saying I have a tummy ache, so can't go to school to avoid a test. Little does the child know that the tummy ache has to pass, but she or he still has to make up for the test. Pragya is a professor, for God's sake😡. I am again incensed at the writers and directors for taking this from DDLJ😡. In DDLJ, at least both SRK, Kajol have a clear plan which is in motion and they are just buying time with this pretext. Here there is no concrete plan, just some stupid, passive aggression which doesn't take her anywhere.

- I think it will only make a difference to Abhi if he feels he is truly losing her either emotionally or physically. Neither of these is happening now, she is still the same BFF, secy, advisor, confidante, household help to him whether she is betrothed to Purab or not. He can still take his liberties with her. So what difference does it make to him ? If she distanced herself from him, may be it would have made an impact. But all childish anyway.

Abhi has to kick🤬 out of his life : Now how does this happen? 1. Abhi has to know the truth about himself i.e; he is married, Pragya is his wife⭐️👏 and or 2. Truth about 🤬, the villainy, her true character, the utter yuckiness that is YKW.

Is Pragya working towards either of these two possibilities? Now that she got a A-OK from the doctors with the assurance that his brain won't explode into a thousand pieces, or he won't lapse into a stuporous coma, or get paralysed or die, isn't it time for Pragya to make him remember or just plainly tell him ? I would assume that he would be ecstatic to know that Pragya is his wife❤️, the way things are now.

Unfortunately, her character is being butchered. I am not able recognize her anymore or empathize with her. I don't understand her thought process. As much as I find fault with Abhi, I can't defend her in what she is doing either👎🏼.

God forbid if he didn't get his memory back, and he pushes this engagement on them, will they go through it? And God forbid if he got his memory back, how are they going to explain this engagement to him that they are going through with this, so he realizes his feelings? So doomed if he does, doomed if he doesn't. What sort of a place is this for her to be? 🤢

Sorry if I hurt anybody's feelings, I feel sad to see my girl's intellect going down the drain in front of my eyes.

The options 1 and 2.. I don't think both can resolve this situation with how Pragya is going about them. Because option 1. Okay Abhi figured he loved Pragya.. so what? He realized he loved Pragya pre Mogambo track too but he was unable to kick Tannu out. Because there was a baby he was responsible for.
That brings us to option 2. He can't kick out Tannu unless he knows Tannu as the evil she is.. not just an annoying, mean girl! Because that's not enough for Abhi to back out.. he has supposedly molested Tannu in front of people.. her mom is possibly dying.. and his and her careers/reputation is at stake.. unless this is shown as lies to him.. he can't take Tannu out.. whether he knows he loves Pragya or not.
Moreover if Pragya is Purab's GF/fiancee, he will think 100 times even before wanting to admit he loves Pragya! He wouldn't want to jeopardize his friends' life or her life by coming between them really.

What helps Pragya is honesty and being straight forward.. which she never is from the time she has been with Abhi! The couple of times she has been, she won big time- like the little Lonavala time. She spoke truth with all her heart! He heard it and believed it. As simple as that.

So being truthful is her way out. But she is the Pragya who lied about her identity when she married (he was thinking she is Purab's lover BB), she lied about her Mogambo drama later for another year.

So for your question- what the heck she is doing.. she is doing her characteristic 'lying', while satisfying herself with some majboori reason which I have hard time buying at any point in this soap.

😆 I feel your pain, Mili. I've been here and I've done this too way back in the beginning of this track.😆

Actually, for me, even from Pragya's pov, Pragya always had the best vantage point and was in the driver's seat for abhigya's happiness. The story put her in situations where she can call the shots in mugambo and this ml track but she never went all the way, never took advantage of what she knows.

I feel she has more options than to wait for Abhi to realize he loves her or to kick Tanu out. She doesn't have to wait for Abhi to make the right move. Purab's purgya plan is the biggest reason why Abhi hasn't confessed his feelings to her, imo. He was beginning to realize she means a lot to him. What do these 2 do? Pragya has pushed Abhi away by going along with Purab.

She should have told the truth to Abhi about what happened at that rape attempt and how Purab saved her. Instead of prioritizing Abhi over Purab, she did the opposite. She's so desperate to get Abhi to remember/love her, she didn't think rom Abhi's pov, especially if she wants him to remember her. She didn't think she's playing with the deep friendship bond between Purab and Abhi. Purgya is Pragya's great downfall for me.

She can tell him she's his wife and she can get Tanu arrested for her crimes. She knows how evil Tanu is. Why wait till Abhi realizes how evil Tanu is? Isn't that wasting her life waiting for that to happen? Pragya tacitly going along Tanu's crimes is so unacceptable to me. Taaliyakhil are the reason she's playing a fan and secretary to Abhi, for him forgetting who she is, and she's content smirking at Taaliya at the dressing room for getting scraps of attention from Abhi. How low is that?

To me, most of Pragya's suffering is self-induced and self-fulfilling weakness. Others make choices for her and she goes along with them meekly. I don't see self will, self reliance or self respect especially in this track. I hate to pity anyone, especially a female lead in a show. I don't want to praise her and her sad life because I don't want to send a message to young female viewers this is what love is about. That a girl has to suffer or be selfless in a relationship with a man. That's so wrong for me. No, no woman should make such silly choices just to be with a man and no woman should glorify another woman's suffering for making questionable choices for a man.

I stopped relating to her for a while now. Definitely started when she told Abhi she doesn't love him and is a gold digger when she really loved him in the mugambo track. Revenge marriage was Abhi's horrible mistake. But knowingly lying to her husband and put him through that hell was even more horrible for me.

Writers have done huge injustice to Pragya's character. They've never let her win against Tanu. She's so one-dimensional with nothing but her adamant choice to be with Abhi, yet not doing what it takes to rightfully claim her life with him. Whether they're married or not doesn't matter. If she wants a life with him, then do what it takes. Stop moping around. She and Tanu are at 2 ends of the spectrum, and that's not exactly a compliment to Pragya. Honestly, I want to see Pragya do something about her life instead of waiting for Abhi to remember her.
