Urmila never experienced the soul crushing rejection before. Yes she came second to Sita in everything but that never really bothered her. However today early in the morning she became privy to a conversation which was definitely not made for her ears. Even now it feels surreal to actually believe that Lakshman would reject the marriage proposal so blatantly infront of his brother Ram!
"Bhaiya aap jante hai na ki hum yeh vivaah nahi kar sakte! Hum kisise vivah nahi karenge yeh pran liya tha humne."...Urmila had felt dizzy and sick. She wasn't going to tie someone down in a loveless marriage! She has to meet him once to assure him that he is not bound to marry her at all and that he shouldn't think that he is obliged in any way. She slilently slid out of her room that she shared with her sister and cousins and took the secret passage to get out of the Rajbhavan. She didn't know how! She knew that she was seriously throwing all propriety out of the window...but she HAD to talk to HIM to let him know that she understands and that HE IS FREE FROM ANY OBLIGATIONHow is it?
