The girls are just a means to an end and are pawns because their fathers death is their weakness and she is using it to her advantage. I do not see any affection from her for any of them. She has just trained them well as pawns for her chess moves.
When she slapped Tia the day after she ran away from the wedding I was like ok, this is normal for Mrs. Kapoor because Tia not only foiled their plans but also has brought the wrath of SSO upon their heads.
Then she suddenly went psycho and not only twisted her arm but also physically hurt her to make the fake kidnapping look real. That was a bit too much for me to digest from a mom who could easily have avoided that.
I mean Tia could have been kidnapped at gun point and would not have suffered wounds. The kidnappers obviously wanted Shivvay's money not to hurt Tia personally. But Mrs. Kapoor looked like she actually enjoyed it. It was as though hurting Tia gives her some kind of satisfaction.
Sorry but I cannot see how a real mother would do that unless it was actually to save a daughter's life. I know people will argue there are mothers like that but she has not portrayed herself to her children as an abusive mother - if you understand what I mean.
There are physically abusive parents but there the pattern is consistent. Mrs. kapoor is not one of those or Tia would not have married Robin. That was her choice and off her free will.
Mrs. Kapoor abuses in the name of love, revenge and duty. That is who she is.
She has constantly pressured Tia to get intimate and physical with Shivvay throughout the engagement period which again I felt was completely unnecessary. Shivvay was not looking for or even complaining about the lack of it??? Then why force the girl - married to Robin or not. It is downright disgusting to ask your daughter to do that knowing fully well that she is not comfortable with the idea.
Then the pepper spray in Tia's eyes was crazy psycho not to mention letting her douse herself with fuel even if she had no intention of committing suicide. What if Shivvay had not caught the burning match in time? That was a very big risk Tia took with her life.
I am not surprised Robin followed Tia like a shadow - he knew that she meant nothing to Mrs. Kapoor and was easily disposable,
Now Svet taking such a big risk with her own life. I cannot see a normal (related by blood mother no matter how bad) letting her child take this risk. She would have devised another way without risking their lives. How could she let Svet have an affair with a man old enough to be her father without wondering how this girl must feel doing it?? No matter how thirsty you are for revenge I cannot see a mother use her own young innocent daughters this way.
We have to admit the girls were young. naive and innocent children once and have grown up only on what has been fed to them. I actually feel very sorry for all three as they have been robbed of a normal happy childhood and future as adults.
She has never once risked her own life to make something happen. If she claims to love her husband so much and thirsts for revenge why did she not use herself , all these years, instead of her innocent children.
