Waise I was watching some old scenes yesterday to find stuff for gif-ing and I watched that one when Anika first entered the house as his wedding planner...that was the same epi in which he had coolly given instructions for her house to be razed to the ground...and he was oh so calmly asking his Khanna guy if the order had been completed...looking back at that now, I wonder if Shivaay is really that different anymore...those are his core characteristics...he can be strangely matter of fact and calm in his ruthlessness...almost casually so...he did the same with the marriage as well ultimately...did the whole thing with almost offhand calmness...
Ofcourse the argument is supposed to be that he had "evolved" from the days when she first got to his house...but in some way he really hasn't😆...the tactics are still the same...even the reasons are the same...he tries different ways of manipulating her...last time he wanted to break her house to break her and win that challenge...this time he's taking her house away for his own impulsive guilty streak😆...because he wants her near him whether he admits it or not...he wants control over when she leaves or stays in his life...unfortunately for him though, Anika never plays according to his rules...they always backfire in his face...is baar bhi hoga😆...and jale pe namak, his whole family being MEGA FANS of Anika😆...really gets his goat...as the star son, laadla beta of the family, he is used to being on that pedestal...but Anika comes in and coolly steals his spotlight😆...and then Billu goes "meow?"😆
WORD!! I mean, he goes to these elaborate stylised lengths to create and constantly maintain this persona of ruthless indifference (which breaks as soon as he's alone and what he's done strikes him) in front of anika and others, and she questions him and ab toh seriously bhi nahi leti😆😆

I think its true, she takes away all the attention. Remember he says, 'What is she, a star or something? Sabko usi se baatein karni hai' WHILE he wants to do the same, he's just unable to get her alone😆😆😆
In the wedding scene, he tells her na 'TUM beech mein kahan se aa gayi' in like EVERY decision he makes and he ends up falling on his face.
SO in his eyes, she's actually caused more self-humiliation and dhakka to ego to him😆😆😆

I think one of the major reasons he's attracted to her is because he's unable to find a chink in her armour, except Sahil. So he tries everything, todhkar marodh kar, and she just doesn't comply while HE ends up doing whatever she wants at the end of it.
So technically, anika was a tad inaccurate when she said he'll REALIZE how she feels when he's unable to take his own decisions in life, actually toh he just has to accept it.
After all, iss decision ke ilawa he's really been unable to see many of his plans to fruition😆
