And he needs to keep his eyes off her. He wishes his fingers were where her tear drops fell -_- Well, if he's not careful he might have those very tears flowing from his eyes while his fingers and eyes are taken care of. Ugghhh..I hate him! But of course, lusty people like him existed back then and do even now. And this one even has a political game playing..he's definitely not giving up.

Coming to Akbar, so he got to know Heera is getting married and of course he doesn't like the guy.😆 Going by the speed at which his brain works, it doesn't surprise me that he's got his instincts right about Pervy's intentions. That one line made me feel bad for him though- That guy can give Heera everything Akbar can't. Or so he thinks as of now.

And my favourite part- the mystery and riddles being decoded. Firstly, this man has amazing memory! I used to read a poem some five times before I got it byheart.

Here he has it word- to- word in his mind and the manner in which he decodes it to be the Hallway- Me Loves Him! He highlighted a different set of words and realised it's the one place he hasn't looked.

Azeez is a sweetheart, he makes me crack up. He loves Akbar, is loyal to him, isn;t scared of his glares and loves to tease😆 He reads Akbar so well, he could make out the difference between Akbar's tones and later realised it's to do with Heera.

Yes... Akbar must be thinking 'Why did I bring this chap in this mission.. should've got Ibrahim instead'

My guy's childhood :( He's faced so many hardships in life! He deserves Heera in his life, it's only her presence that's going to heal all the pain within.

Yes he deserves some happiness in his life. Really!

Her chamber reminded him of her, her anklets..she's always going to be there at the back of his mind...be it any mission he's on or how much ever he tries to distance himself from her. She resides in a lil part of his heart and will never leave.

And lastly, the picture and it's connection probably to the rose part of the chapter? Here he held the flower she had planted, there she got pricked by that thorn.

Trials and Tribulations, of a bitter past and lost innocence... as a little soul despondent to find its shade, finds himself exiled in the turbulent terrains of unkind reality - where the all bearing, all absorbing motherhood puts her hands down before the one minded motives and self sufficient achievements.

motherhood the most encompassing shade of all disappeared... left him to face harshness ...

2... Trials and Tribulations, of a sabotaged pride and prevailing helplessness... as the heiress alighted, step by step, casting her spell at every step - be it the silks and rubies, kohls and wax she graces as she overlooks the royal procession... or the dignified retort that she deliciously serves to the domineering Ranisa... or the silent acceptance of situations that were passed her way instead of the much needed opportunities.

Heera... I absolutely loved the words you've used to describe her da - sabotaged pride and prevailing helplessness😭

3... Trials and Tribulations, of gnawing possessive instincts and tricky dilemmas... as the astute Khan Sahib learns of Harka's wedding arrangements, and harps on his suspicious thoughts not knowing what to make out of them. The first taste of bitter failure before an opponent, to have served the rival his own defeat and pride on a golden platter - defeat at the loss of victory, and pride of possessing the worthier treasure.

Defeat at the loss of victory, and pride of possessing the worthier treasure - that must be such a crushing feeling, is it not? The man is feeling the pinch of possessiveness - that's for sure...

He could use brains and brawn to get whatever he wanted so far. In the case of Heera neither are proving helpful...😕

4... Trials and Tribulations, of vandalised blossoms and pricking thorns... as the lovestruck find each other, hurting and getting hurt in return, waging crusades against the ever conflicting, wishes and abilities and ending up with defeat. As he sojourns her dwellings, his mind dwelling in her warmth, his heart streaked green in savage bitterness, but his mechanical loyalty dwelled in service. As she sojourns solutions, her heart seeks respite, finds none... every declined hope reminder of his declined advances... they've split apart to merge into one.

I absolutely loved the underlined bits Adwi... so beautifully you've written this... like a poem almost.. and like periyamma said you've made the impossible possible! Split apart to merge into one!👏

5... Trials and Tribulations, of a discomforting rendezvous... that adds to Harka's confusion instead of answering them. That invites dangerous consequences of a returned proposal. As the palpable frustration in Mahendra's tone fails to escape her scrutiny. As the lurking gaze, gives her creeps and negative vibes. Her disclosure like a ringing slap on his plans and ego. I was quite joyous at her over boundary and his blanched expressions thereafter. Good going, my girl!

Adds to Harka's confusion instead of answering them - so well observed. 👏She had gone to get an answer, to seek support and solutions. Instead she's found fighting against yet another thorn in her way. But she used what she had, did what she could. She's doing well so far, the girl!

6... Trials and Tribulations, of the illustrious FARMAAN... as it whips away the Sahib's peace of mind, spells danger to the Sahiba's life, ignites sparks in Sandhya di's grey cells, becoming the lone livelihood of many a WA discussions... thus posing as the show stopper all the way 😉. So much for a farmaan, when the Sahib and Sahiba have a son, they must name him Farmaan, that would be the most befitting, I say!😆

Jokes apart, if the farmaan is indeed hidden in the corridors and the Khan Sahib would be trapising up and down the hallway in search of it... well this reminds me of the Bara Imambara, its world famous crown and a detective story revolving around it ... seems like it's going to shape up just as thrilling as that... and here I am rubbing my palms in sheer excitement of the upcoming!

Really? What is that story dear? Never even heard that term before.. but thank you for this... and am glad you found the last part thrilling...🤗

starting what to say
painful, heard wrenching, sorrowful no proper word I have to describe how I feel after reading about khan sahib childhood and about pappu
pappu is in so painful situation
and the worst part when khan sahib said women probably loss her only son
and khan sahib knew about this disease because he suffered same the disease in childhood
but when he make dissimilarity between puppu present condition and his past life
god so shock to know about his mother
he wanted to stay away from pappu not because of mission but because of pappu mother remind him about his mother
who left him when he need her most

Yes... he was like this child.. on a sick bed.. at about this age... his widowed mother beside him then... the entire visual brought very strong unpleasant memories back..
like seriously she left him in that worst condition just because he can't make it out
I read that part three time to believe that what if I miss something but no that's was truth
how can a mother do that is hard to believe

mother love is most selfless love but her gesture prove how wrong we were

Especially loved the scene of khan sahib in Sahiba's room. The inhaling of a lungful of air - as if he has really breathed for the first time since she left. As if he is breathing in the lifesaving air before he is pulled underwater by the quest, by the pull between opposing loyalties; between heart and head; between his two different sides but more so by life that is so full of her presence and yet so empty in her absence. Wonderful!

Equally wonderful but of different flavour was the scene between Heera and Mahindar. She is really a rare bird - beautiful, wise, pure and perceptive but not naively or stupidly so.
