Tej's dialogues really got me thinking today...

Tej and Om have been shown to be polar opposites. Likewise for Shakti and Shivaay. There's been a constant effort to highlight their differences. Rudra even had a dialogue to the effect that people think Shivaay is Tej's son. Tej's dialogues today of which brother is stronger intrigued me.

Priyanka said her Om bhaiyya was the strongest out of her three brothers. ACP Randhawa said he had been mistaken to believe Om was the weak link after his so called interrogation. Common theme? Om isn't weak contrary to what Tej might believe. He can be as ruthless as Tej when he wishes. It's another matter altogether that he does not wish to be like Tej. He doesn't want to become cold and heartless. He's afraid of becoming like his father and so he avoids anything that he associates with Tej.

Shivaay might act, walk and talk like Tej, but on the inside he's truly Shakti's son. Shivaay is completely selfless when it comes to those that are close to him. He would do anything for them. He doesn't think rationally at all then. Shivaay Singh Oberoi, the ruthless businessman is a facade - a mask he's perfected for the outside world.

Tej said Shivaay would never do the same - Om's weak and Shivaay is strong. Anyone else believe Tej is in for a surprise? I feel like they're setting the stage for what's going to happen next. The opposite of what Tej is expecting will happen. Unlike Om, Shivaay will completely break if Annika ever leaves him. He'll lose the ability to function. Once Shivaay cares for someone there's no going back for him. His mera kya hota is evidence enough already.

It's way past midnight and I just felt compelled to write what was going on in my head. Hope it makes sense. Half asleep🥱😆

Strongest n weakest that changes according to situations!here Om was weak?i dont think so?if he wanted to run suicide would have been an easy option here by taking drugs its kind a punishment that he is enduring to himself is that right?No bt when we are emotionally we dont think sense we jus go with d flw bt im sure om will rise like a phoenix bird!
Shivay will b broken if Anika leaves him evn yesterday he looked miserable seeing om like that n he lost it!i dont knw why shikians want a jealous track i would have asked for a #HurtAnika track rather it would have been intense n shivay would lose it!
For me both are strong n im more eager to knw abt Ruddy boy the most unpolished oberoi!

no i don't think so shivay is weak in any way. he might be affected and breakdown when annika will leave him but going for drugs would be not even a single possibility here

Being weak doesnt equates to taking drugs!shivaay will have his way of showing emotion may b like typical gul heroes uncontrollable anger n making ir loved one suffer like a force mrg?

I have a different view on this I don't think every thing is what it appears n we can't take Shivaay or Om or even rudra at their face value as they r complex layered characters, ten is ashamed of Om's weakness for taking drugs n escapism as he is old school typical father who is incapable of accepting his son's weaknesses or flaws n think shivaay is the ideal one but there will come a time when Shivaay will leave OM for his love I,e vanvaas n follow his real passion that is cooking / become homemaker n not be a ruthless businesses tycoon IMG he worked so hard to sell with taking responsibility of his younger siblings n business as he is eldest

Coming to Om there will come a time he may become hardened n grounded realist n not idealist due to life lessons n betrayal he has faced n become more like Tej in cynicism n the things he despised in tej he may have those qualities as blood is thicker than water n it may not necessarily be a bad thing but every character may have a character arc

Rudra will become responsible family mam as opposed to irresponsible shallow playboy n we will see his growth as he is most under rayed character

I would like to mention here preet's thread that Omkara is the strongest oberoi yes i beg to differ that omkara is the strongest person. I did not commented there because i enjoy friendship with omkarians and i don't want to spoil it. I hope it still remains the same. Coming up to ur point about Shivay is weak or not. I did not say that he is strongest but he is not weak to go for drugs as well. I hope he will remain the same. Gul won't butcher it. but yeah he is weak in the sense that he is giving punishment to someone else. and if he did forced marriage which is lil bit absurd because he loves his naam khoon khaandan, i will say he is taking a wrong path. He always took wrong path so far but whatever he did he handled his problems rather than taking any shelter.

Omkarians were commenting that Shivay blurted out on anika so he is weak. Then om is taking drugs and hurting their own loved ones. what was that? Is he not hurting his loved ones as well????????? As far as i think he is taking an easy way out by using drugs. He can tell shivay about it or when prinku did the accident so he can take that girl to hospital. and if he did this then he did not need to take drugs because accidents happens every day and even law gives u minute punishment as well. And moreover he is hiding some else truth not of his own. Even religion say so that you should not disclose someone else secret.

the problem with om character is that he thinks everything is black or white. He needs to understand that he is not God who can do justice. I want to say ishana was right people have to choose wrong path for betterment .

I m not saying that Shivay is strong but i want to say that i differ with those people who say including prinyanaka that Omkara is strongest person.

I might be wrong as i m mad at Omkara recently because he did not come into senses by SSO voice. I m really angry at him

Prinku said that he used to be the strongest. Kunal, too, said in an IV that Omkara hasn't always been like what we see of him in the show, today - he became like this after the accident. Once he has dealt with his demons, chances are high that he will slowly become that Omkara Singh Oberoi of the past, once again.

Also, I believe that the opening post was not really about comparing Shivaay with Omkara but more about Tej's perception of both and how said perception might change in the future. This is not about whether Om is stronger or Shivaay is stronger, there is no real comparison there. Situations bring out the better or worst of people - in Om's case, the accident brought out the worse. Yes, there is a lot he could have done differently but he didn't- and now, we have conflict. He isn't perfect that he'd do the correct thing whenever the time came to.

As for Shivaay, no one can deny that Shivaay has been a pillar for his family. He works hard for them, he wants to keep them together and he puts them first, especially his brothers. But even Shivaay is a human (and we have seen him err, too) - he has a breaking point, too, and his might be reached through Anika. No one said he is going to take drugs when he breaks, though, and that that is a measure for determining who is stronger or weaker - he isn't Om, his self destruction will definitely look different.

I have always said that Shivaay is a lot more like Tej than anyone else, Shivaay is so similar to Tej that you'd think he is actually Tej's son. But I also think the TM is not wrong when saying that it might be a mask he has perfected over the years because life expected this of him - it might be true, and it might not be true. Though, my thoughts on the matter are as such: Once upon a time, even Tej might have been ready to do anything for his family like Shivaay is doing, right now. Put them first. Work on the edges of what is morally correct and what is not to ensure his family's happiness - and eventually, he slipped and became this rough, hard man we see today.

Therefore, I still think that Shivaay is more like Tej - and that even Tej has a breaking point (Om is his weakness). Om showing Tej that he is wrong, that Om, too, is very strong won't necessarily prove that he is more like his father, imo. But that is because I believe Tej is not as "strong" or "stone-hearted" as we believe, right now.

But u never know that a person is strongest or not if he did not face real problem.
