"We will be telecasting only India matches because we do not want to disturb the telecast of our daily soaps and our 8.30 comedy band which are doing very well," says SAB's business head Vikas Behl, adding further that cricket helps boost distribution and attract new viewers. SAB will also air its first reality show called Fame X, which will kick start in the first week of November. Once Champions Trophy comes to an end in the first week of November, SAB will launch Fame X, which is the revamped version of Sony's Fame Grukul. When asked why the show is being moved from Sony to SAB, Vikas says major audience for reality shows is in the age group of 15 to 35, which happens to be SAB's target audience. Keeping with the channel's viewership profile Fame X will be given a complete makeover. "It will be cutting edge and will have a younger and spunky look," says SAB's business head, adding further that the auditions will begin from October 10 in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. The channel is also on the look out for a fresh panel of judges and new anchors too. http://www.deccan.com/Sunday%20Chronicle/Sunday%20ChronicleD escription.asp#Different%20strokes |
