I read somewhere that in some shows whilst negotiating their contracts, actors and actresses will put a proviso that they will supply their own wardrobe and makeup. The production house usually gives them a general guidance as to the dress sense the character has but it's usually up to the actor/ actress to see it into fruition. That's why you will find some characters are very well dressed as they are supplying their own costumes whilst others dress poorly because the production house is. The people who have been in the industry long enough tend to do this. In TPK I think the ones who supply their own costumes and do their own makeup are Shradda, Vasu, Preeti, Kosi and Suman basically the ones who are more experienced. The male and female leads are usually dressed by the production house. Sometimes those who supply their own costumes negotiate deals with designers who supply them with costumes to wear in exchange for free publicity. That is probably why Shradda is so well dressed.
